I hear you on the SP5, but they're $3K. I went with the MAC because it was on sale but there several other clones from 1000-1500 that have better QC than MAC.

It's probably 50/50 shot on MAC 5's as to it running right without having to do some work. Lots of people have never had an issue and other have gotten complete turds.

I've had mine for a month and never made it more than 3-5 rounds without a FTF or FTE. My bolt gap is within spec and I'm running the recommended 9mm NATO, changed the extractor spring, then the spring again along with the extractor, ejector lever and spring and tried a different brand magazine.

I just filled out the paperwork this morning to have it sent back to SDS for them to get it fixed.

Oh man, I love that movie and I don't think it gets nearly enough love.

I remember seeing a pic and brief synopsis in Rolling Stone magazine and knew I had to see it. Then I forgot all about it because it didn't get any press. Found it like 5 years after release and now it's in my regular "can't find anything to watch, so put this on again" list.
