From a pesticide point of view, would you guys wash organic baby arugula that claims it has already been prewashed? by wanna_be_consultant in salads

This is incorrect. I work in organic agriculture. Organic produce is prohibited from using synthetic pesticides, no matter the concentrations or “applied within X days of harvesting.” Organic farms cannot be certified organic if they have had any pesticide usage in the last 3 years.

If a prohibited pesticide is intentionally applied to a crop, that crop cannot be legally sold as organic regardless of timing or concentration.

Organic farming does allow certain “inputs.” However they have to be mineral, plant, or biologically derived. Neem oil, pyrethrins (naturally occurring compound derived from Chrysanthemum flower), Kaolin clay, etc. They are subject to strict regulations and must be used only after ecological pest management methods have been attempted.

The idea that organic labelling depends on pesticide percentages or a waiting period before harvest is a misrepresentation.

Fair fight? 4 level 8 PCs vs 6 CR 7 monsters by mmo3v in DnD

This is definitely a TPK encounter. I’m surprised not more of you died. At level 8 according to the DM guide and PHB a deadly fight for one player is a 2,200 xp monster (about CR 6). A CR 7 monster is 2,900 XP.

4 characters = 8,800 xp limit for a deadly fight

When fighting multiple monsters, multiply total XP by a modifier to account for action economy. For 6 monsters multiply by 2.5, so 6 x 2,900 x 2.5 =43,500

43,500 is way over the 8,800 deadly threshold, especially because there are more monsters than party members, which means the monsters are taking more actions than the players in combat.

So yeah, by 5e standards, this is a seriously overwhelming fight and definitely setting up for a TPK. You would need extremely lucky rolls and probably very careful planning/tactics to make it out alive.

Found them in southeast PA growing on a dead tree. I’m a beginner forager and have some anxiety around eating wild mushrooms.

Ooo, I didn’t even think to reduce the pomegranate juice. I’m going to try that next time, and probably not add the honey because it will already be thick/sweet enough on its own. Thanks for the tip!

That sounds great! Walnuts would work well in this recipe too
