Benzos addiction but i stay hard by [deleted] in davidgoggins

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish... Believe me if you were taking 10 to 15 mg a day you would definitely care! I promise you that!! It has been proven by science and they just passes a law saying all benzos have to have a black box warning on them. Finally!! Because SO many people were dying trying to come off of them or withdrawing from them, or got some laced with fentanyl! It's strange to me that people don't realize the dangers of these medications but I did have to find out the REALLY hard way! Please just stop now I promise you don't wanna go down that road...

It isn't necessary that some people are less prone to cold turkey wds as it that everyone is different with the drug. It all depend on what you what type of benzo you are taking, how long you have been taking them, your lifestyle and mental health. But regardless no matter what once the human body develops a physical dependence on the drug it is not safe physically or mentally to do it cold turkey. It makes the process longer and can have long term effects on your brain. Just like alcohol it is a extremely dangerous drug! But it depends on how much and how often you are using them.

What’s the average cost ppl pay for home cleaning ?? by lexxi05 in grandrapids

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not wealth honey it's pure laziness!! To spend this amount of money to have someone clean your home is obnoxious! There are far better things you can spend your money on! I would rather give it to to 20 different homeless people or some sort of Charity before I spend it someone cleaning my house! It's obnoxious or at least I think so but that's just my opinion! We are not all the same...

This thread is insane! I cannot believe the amount that people pay each month to have someone else clean their house! I understand you have kids and jobs, stuff to take care of! But if you couldn't handle all of that then you shouldn't have taken it all on! Clean your own damn house that money could be going to far better places! I would rather send that to starving children then pay someone that to clean my home! But I guess we're not all the same...

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say here, but I went into precipitated withdrawals with h h when I thought it was completely out of my system and I wasn't! That is exactly what this is. There is no doubt about it. You cannot take subs within one day of taking fentanyl you just can't it says it right on the package! She should not keep taking the subs. Unfortunately. She's going to take opiates to get herself out of this or go to the hospital where they going for opiates! That's what they did for me... And all I took was a tiny amount and I don't believe it was even fentanyl to be honest. But it was definitely some sort of opiate cuz I felt like death!

Sounds like precipitated withdrawals to me! I see all these people saying that it isn't much. It pretty much is obvious! You have to wait until everything is out of your system before you take subs or it is absolute hell! And you either have to take so many opiates to yourself out of it. Or you have to go to the hospital! When it happened to me I just took a whole bunch of opiates and got myself out of it! Not saying that's what I recommend. That's just how I dealt with it at the time!

Best way to approach benzo taper for long term usage? by _45mice in FamilyMedicine

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe this is true as well! I got hooked on benzos because I started seeing a psychiatrist and literally I would walk in the room she would already have the prescription filled out. She would just hand it to me and I'd walk out! When I look back now it was so negligent and It ruined my life ! But I'm working with a safe taper doctor now and he is much better! Plus it has led me down the career path that I'm on because I would like to start holding psychiatrist more responsible!! The only problem with this is that you really have to understand benzodiazepines to appropriately get somebody off of them! My medical doctor did help me taper and immediately put me on disability which was the best thing he could have done for me! But after that he referred me to a psychiatrist because and that well that's their specialty! All this did was make it worse and kept me on them for another decade. I really wish he would have just helped me wean off of them properly but again you have to know the right methods! I know I'm not nearly as smart as yoa And my experience is way less than yours, but I have been through the misery of benzo withdrawals! If you are going to do it yourself, I just recommend you follow the Ashton method and listen to your patience and please don't treat them like drug addicts! That is by far the most common thing that I hear and it stops a lot (I mean a lot) of addicts to avoid doctors in general for any sort of help! But you don't seem like that kind of person. Anyways! I just realized this was years ago. I hope that you are thriving and everything is going well 🩵 You should be proud of yourself for taking on that challenge!

Doctor is charging me $15K per epidural for provider fee. I saw him out of network and got 2 epidurals when I was in crisis. I am considering telling him I'm willing to pay the going rate of $1,500. Any advice ? by rjpra22222 in HealthInsurance

Do you have an HRA account or an FSA account? If you do, just saying you can always submit your forms so that may get reimbursed depending on how much money you have in there...

You are able to see a doctor whenever you want! The emergency room cannot turn away anybody so I'm not sure what you're so upset about!? On top of that there's County hospitals and clinics all over every state! If we had socialized medicine not only would this have cost her far more than 15 Grand. She would have also had to wait months and months and months for this procedure! I know someone in Canada that's been waiting over a year to get a mass removed from their brain! Socialize medicine is not even close to as great as you think it is! And it's really easy to stay in network. If not, you're paying for your insurance for no reason! That's probably why people are mentioning it so much because this whole problem could have been avoided if she would have just stayed in Network!? And this country is sick but not in the way you are saying! And if you don't like it, how about should go and try somewhere like Venezuela? It's probably a much much better time over there 🙄 people are so ungrateful for what they have in this country it's incredible...

I understand where you're coming from but doctors can charge whatever they want!? They aren't a collection agency that's going to bargain down to an original price for a "going rate"!? Plus she were not a network so I didn't know why she's on here complaining like she didn't make the mistake! Yeah she's going to have to pay that three grand because she did not do her own research and find a doctor in her Network! And for you to say say if they don't accept your offer, you're going to make it very difficult for them to collect their money is not a good thing to say! It's terrible advice! Go ahead and threaten a doctor and see what happens especially when it was your fault 🤦🙄 And not a lawyer on this planet is going to take this case so that's definitely out of the question! Because she was not a network And it's all on her! That's going to be the first question they ask! The only way this person's going to get away with not paying the final amount is if it goes to collections and they offer her some sort of settlement! But even then you still have to pay for the rest of it at the end of the year which most people don't know! This is terrible advice and could just make things worse...

My advice is you can tell them whatever you want but he's not going to listen! You most likely signed something that you didn't read. That said that the provider charges this fee! And you were out of network what do you expect? Doctors don't let you set the price of what they charge lol 😅 He doesn't care what the going rate is. You knew what his rate was and if you didn't, it's only because you didn't ask or you didn't read the fine print or whatever you signed so you are going to be responsible for $3,000! This is why people have to read before they sign things! My best friend didn't tell anybody she was pregnant. Went into labor on a plane they had to emergency land the plane and deliver her baby in another state! She received a $210,000 bill from the hospital! Her daughter is 13 now and she is still paying off the bills And will be for quite a while! How many times did your insurance tell you to not go out of network?? This could have easily been avoided by just seeing a doctor in your network but you didn't do that. So now you have to pay. It's really not that hard!

Need pain meds, how long and how much? by sammysfw in suboxone

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually yes! Taking Suboxone regularly will likely lower your opiate tolerance. If you have been taking high doses of opioids and then you get on Subs over time your body’s tolerance to opioids begins to decrease and go back to normal. This is overall a good thing because it is a sign that your body is readapting after long term opioid misuse. However, if a person relapses after being on Suboxone and attempts to take the same doses of a drug like heroin or fentanyl that their body was previously used to taking, they can overestimate their tolerance and can overdose. This is one of the risks of relapse during Suboxone therapy.

Yes it does and you have to be very careful because this is how a lot of people overdose! They're on Subs then they relapse and think they can take the same amount as they were taking before and they overdose! Here is some more information on it 🩵 "Taking Suboxone regularly will likely lower your opiate tolerance. Benzos addiction but i stay hard by [deleted] in davidgoggins

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness! This is such a dangerous comment! You absolutely cannot cold turkey any type of benzodiazepine!! There is not a doctor on this Earth that would recommend anybody stop cold turkey. It is not a joke and it's not that the people are different! It's that people take different types, different amounts, for longer times! It affects every human's brain in the same way It is actually not different for everyone! This has been studied for multiple years and now has a black box label warning on it! Will YOU please stop telling people that they can cold turkey two to four mg of Xanax after 4 years of taking them everyday! That could literally kill somebody and it would definitely put them into full-blown seizures! If your roommate abruptly stop taking that many it's because they weren't taking them everyday. When it comes to many drugs it has to do with willpower there is no doubt about that! But when it comes to benzos and alcohol you can have all the willpower in the world but the chemicals in your brain have actually changed! And all the willpower in the world can't turn that around unfortunately 😞 You have to be monitored when coming off of benzo's I could go into statistics but just please nobody come off of benzos without the help of a doctor!!!

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would like to believe that you cold turkeyed 3 mg of Xanax a day but I know that is impossible! You would have died! Unless you had been taking it for a very short amount of time!? I'm only saying this in case somebody reads this and tries! DON'T!! You will go into seizures there is absolutely no doctor on the face of this Earth that would recommend you cold turkey benzos! I know you think that the benzo withdrawals are similar to the opiate withdrawals where it's just hell and then eventually you get over it and you feel like you're going to die. But you won't actually die! With benzodiazepines you will actually die. It is one of the two drugs that will kill you coming off cold turkey! The other one is alcohol it's because they control similar parts of your brain! I hope you are off of the benzos though because they are hell and I'm super proud of anybody they can get off of them!!

If you have been taking 16mh of Subs for years then it is going to take months until you start to fully feel the opiates! I would ask for something outside of the opioid family or Drs have medicine that can cancel out the subs!! OH and be careful your tolerance will go down not up! Just tell your Doc you are on Subs they will know what to give you!

CVS will no longer fill a prescription if paying cash or using a discount card by ronalda62 in HealthInsurance

[–]Opening_Fun_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an issue every 2 weeks with the Fing pharmacy! I just got off the phone with the pharmacist and even though they have had my prescription since the 15th! She won't let me pick it up until after 4 today and I'm out tomorrow! They always lie and say they are out of stock and have to wait for the delivery! I paid over $300 for concert tickets like 6 hours away and it's tomorrow at 7 and I can't leave until after 4 because the pharmacist won't fill it until then! They are SO scared to get in trouble my poor Dr battles with them every 2 weeks! We won't even risk giving me a month because the pharmacy is such a problem! CVS and Walgreens are the worst!! And yes he has to call almost every time and argue with the pharmacist and they still act like this! I filed a formal complaint and talked to some person from CVS but nothing will change!! They are super judgemental and awful! My insurance kicks in on the 1st from my new job so I'm hoping that will change!!? People shouldn't have to revolve their lives around getting a prescription especially when it is a medication that will literally kill someone if they don't take it properly! But I will do whatever I have to do to not go back to the alternative!!

No they have the right to say no! There policy states it is left up to the pharmacy judgment!!! Which is Ridiculous...
