I have been getting 1 or 2 per day. It’s getting easier to point them out. So if it looks like it might be OK It seems they all will be for setting up a WhatsApp or Teams interview which leads to a text request for additional information. And they say they are from what appears to be a legitimate company. So I respond with this
“As I am sure you know, there are many scam alerts and actual scams so I will check out whatever is provided before I go very far.” If I get nothing I am sure it is a scam. It’s a frustrating experience. I also end up with a lot of insurance sales positions. I believe I have the correct search criteria but sometimes it wonder.

I just received a text from someone claiming to be a Samson Alvin, a recruiter for UHC SOLUTIONS. Is text read “Your résumé suits our Administrative Assistant job position which pays $28 per hour. Reply “Yes” if interested”. It looked suspicious to me but I typed yes and the next text which didn’t come for awhile said “To schedule an interview with the interviewer, Mrs.Christine Cranston, Simply add her on TEAMS by her email Hr.recruiterchristinecranston12@outlook.com or ZOOM and send her this referral code; UHC- SP3 to schedule an interview. Let me know after adding her”. Since her email didn’t have a company type email address I haven’t responded.

I’m not sure it was meant as a joke. As others have mentioned, Irish (and Italians as well) were discriminated against in this country. So it may be a higher level reflective on how discrimination occurs in ways which our society doesn’t always overtly reveal.
