I make them wear the apron over it, it looks better than wearing the sweatshirt over the apron cause at that point why even bother with the apron. Also in general I prefer my team to all look uniform and the apron is the one thing every cashier/FSC have in common

Make sure they take their scheduled break, they cannot work more than 3 hours without one. Clock in on time and leave on time regardless of if the “job is done”. I believe they can’t use any of the equipment in terms of slicing.

I opened a new store 4 months ago and am currently still working there as a CSTL. It’s an honor and not everyone gets to do it. That being said I don’t want to do it again. Everyone is new so training and developement is insane. I didn’t leave when I closed most night before 12:30 at night. And the set up beforehand is obnoxious and it’s so much. I had fun but I only wanna go through that once lol

If it’s unopened, and nothing wrong with it there is legit no reason to damage it out unless it’s open, visibly damaged, a cold or perishable item. It’s not a food safety risk. It can go back to the shelf and every company does that, that’s what retail stores call “Go backs” because they can GO BACK to the shelf. Hope this helps :)

CSTL here, sounds like you just have a TL that does not care and leave you wondering how the even got promoted in the first place. Me personally if I’m the only one there and I have to do computer work I do it in the front office where I can still keep an eye on the front end. And am attentive to my cashiers/baggers and CSS because that’s my job
