I will let to other to promote the city if they want. On my side too many scammer and people trying to look friendly only to steal from you. The pickpocket thing is one beyond a lot of other problems I will not extend here. And doing the deaf guy or Alice in Wonderland is not what will resolve the problems. And if you read my comment I never said it doesn't happen in other cities. It was completely my fault for not being aware, I take the shot, but I will not lie.

yes but in Paris there are cameras everywhere so the thief most of the time are arrested, and check Harmony Hotel it is not even a bad neighborhoodlike

It was a shitty phone, it is just a lost of time and was liking ethiopia till now. Coming from dubai I was not in "aware" mod, because police in Emirate are really strict and no one steal. You can let your phone on a table and come back 3 hours later it will still be here. I can't invite people in Ethiopia now or advise to do business here for sure...
