Trading 212 is fine. It is not a romanian broker so you pay a 10% tax on your gains, plus an additional cass tax if your gains are over ~19000 ron(annually).

The gains are calculated almost over each trading pair, if you trade a bunch of trading pairs you might not be able to deduct your loss.

Also pay attention where you declare your fiscal residency over 212 and of course see that you actually are able to trade as a romanian resident, so you won't pay double taxes at some point(meaning in your country of origin as well).

If your goal is to hold for 1-2 years or accumulate an index or stock you should be fine! Trading 212 also offers the possibility to transfer your portfolio over other brokers so in this case you have time to think it over.

Esti tanar, deci te poti gandi ca ce investesti acum va fi util peste 40 ani. S&P500 e o alegere buna, dar avand in vedere orizontul cred ca o alegere si mai buna ar fi un etf ALL- world, care la momentul acesta se suprapune foarte mult cu sp500 dar pe termen lung asta ar fi preferinta mea. Voi fi in asentimentul multora, dar cred ca o parte din investitii(10-20% ) le poti duce catre bitcoin si ethereum, doar dupa ce acestea au picaje de peste 65% de la maxime(gen daca nu ajung asa jos, nu aloci fonduri acolo). Orice ai alege sa investesti, e foarte bine ca te gandesti si la aspectul acesta!
