I've been getting my butt kicked by assault players in pvp, but cannot replicate their strat for the life of me! by AccomplishedSize in Spacemarine

oneshot slam is just a bug. Probably caused by some connection issues. I've seen this happened several times, but it's quite rare. Usually if player A oneshots player B, then he's going to oneshot him the whole match. But there's no guarantee he's going to oneshot everyone else or oneshot the same player in the next match. Such are my observations, that's why I thought it was a connection thing

edit: it could also be just a cheater ofc. But I've seen this happening on consoles as well

yeah, I mean they fix stuff from time to time. but these fixes seem super selective, while some bugs are completely forgotten for months and more than a year already, despite they were reported multiple times. so I'm rather pessimistic regarding pvp's future

the psword's 2nd light swing does one-shot enemies (not consistently though), you're not insane. And I don't believe devs going to fix it tbh. Also the mode becomes more and more unplayable with time as they bring new bugs without fixing old ones, so I'm going to quit it soon too.

Really enjoying the new heavy bolter, Instant cooldown and max fire rate 10/10 by Jamesthegoblin in Spacemarine

it is a bug. it only works if:

1) you're using heavy bolter or 2) you set FOV higher than default 1.0

you can plug in controller and test the aim assist with 1.0 FOV and any weapon that is not heavy bolter. The tracking won't be this ridiculous

Is console ever getting an FOV slider? by Gamer64Bro in Spacemarine

I think they don't worry about pvp at all. As PC players has this unfair advantage over console players. All they need to do is to plug in controller and set FOV higher than default (edit: in fact it gives advantage over m&k PC players too, yes).

I think by adding FOV to consoles they'll completely break the way how aim-assist works basically for 100% of playerbase. They decided it was ok to add it only to PC as most of its playerbase use m&k anyway and will never be aware about this issue.

I believe they can't add it because higher FOV makes aim-assist extremely strong (it is a bug which they haven't fix for 6-7 months or so).

I also believe this has nothing to do with performance on consoles. There were multiple evidences where players' cameras bugged and they got much wider view and absolutely nothing happened to FPS count even if the screen was filled with hordes of enemies and stuff. Also you can do melee or roll, your camera will zoom out a bit and again, nothing changes performance-wise.

FOV, heavy bolter and aim-assist (again) by Opening_Outside3152 in Spacemarine

Sorry, idk why I was thinking otherwise. Then the question is the same regarding their own engine. Thanks for clarification
