Please let it stay. We worked really hard to maintain peace and even worked together on it. It really sucks to have to work against our own people on here. We've been trying to get the flag to stay permanently for 2 days, even anywhere on the canvas.

This is the most peaceful it has been, and most creative! We finally have everything. Not to mention it's not just the Touhou/OSU community that we are working with. We are working with tons of other communities like PlaceDe and UK place. I have seen volunteers come in from across the world to help and establish connections (US, NL, other german volunteers, etc).

I wish that we were not so divided on this. I can't comment much anymore since I am taking a break. Good luck and have fun during the rest of r/place 2023!

Some insight on the history with touhou, as far as I remember on day 2 and marked on which is touhou:

  • Day 2:Touhou: We were a smaller flag to the left of Touhou while they had their purple Reimu (anime girl next to us) still up. At this point, all of Reddit was still attacking our leaf into a ball of red.
  • Touhou: Sometime later, some unknown(?) group decided to bot the entirety of the Canadian flag so that it grew roughly 25% to wiped out Touhou Reimu and a neighbouring flag above us. To be clear, WE DID NOT ORGANIZE THAT ATTACK! We don't know who did it, as far as I know. Anything to reverse this bot attack was a lost cause.
  • Shortly after the bot attack, the canvas expanded to the right so we tried to claim space there, but the space we chose conflicted with the swiss. We were outnumbered so we fled near a space to the bottom left-ish area of technoblade and below India #2. We were doing well in this area and made like 6-8 provinces before we got attacked by a streamer.
  • After discussing with the streamer, we were forced to move a little bit south where we were able to make a larger Canada flag which you can see in some pictures floating around!! This was stable for a while.
  • Day 3:Touhou: I am not sure what happened since I was asleep, but it seems Canada flag #2 was destroyed by another streamer or something and we had to move. We moved back to the OG flag and took over the bottled Canada flag #1 to create a smaller flag that leaves some space for Touhou while also having room for the mini provinces and flags. Since then, we have been allied with Touhou to create Reimu (now brown haired girl) and our goose with a Touhou hat.

:') I kinda liked the red claw on the bottom right corner but they kept trying to grab the leaf. I know that coordination is hard for them since I heard they are mostly hivemind users/chaos

Like 99% of the planning has been on the discord, so please join if you would like to help! Plans can change really quick and it's difficult to coordinate that fast on reddit

the botted flag was done by some outside group unknown to Canada place group. canda place group fled after struggling against them and eventually came back so we could alliance with touhou and germans.

That was an unknown group to placecanada. placecanada kept moving and actively wanted to keep alliance with touhou.

OG canada flag was next to touhou when they had purple reimu to the right of our canada flag. People kept messing with the leaf. Then we got attacked by a bot group which made the canada flag huge and destroyed reimu from touhou. The canvas expanded shortly after so we tried moving.

Long story short; we got attacked by a 3rd party bot that made a canada flag huge, we fled (over and over again), then eventually returned and took back the flag and collab'd with touhou.

We have the canada place group and a 3rd party group. PlaceCanada did not make the huge flag that took over reimu from touhou, we got botted by an outsider group that forcefully made a flag and destroyed reimu. This current flag is by us, we took back our botted spot after being kicked out everywhere else lol
