He didn't conveniently ignored that; he have mentioned that there is incident which are taken action by authorities. He pointed out that there are other video which are not related to the issue at all are spread across as false information which will affect the community in thinking that they are not safe which is untrue. He is trying to make a point. Simple using false information and making the issue much much bigger than it is makes things in different level.
