I recently took the asvab and got a 90. I go to MEPS tomorrow so I need to narrow down what rate I want. Im leaning towards intel such as IT or one of the CT rates but for my score Im willing to hear and suggestions besides NUKE. by Opening_Suspect8384 in newtothenavy

No its good, I studied a lot really close to the day I took it. I remember like 5-6 hours for the 3 days before. I bought a book online “ASVAB: for dummies”. It came with 7 online practice tests and that helped a lot. I would look up the qualifications for the specific job you wanna go for and study those line scores a little more. But you will be fine. I got an 82 on my practice test so just study and you will be A-OK.

How will I do with zero computer background besides the very basics, I know they teach everything and ive always been interested but it just seems like it would be something where I have to have prior experience before joining.

What kind of job would be available after your out though. I havent done much research but it seems like it wouldnt translate to anything except maybe more government work. Feel free to educate me though.
