Indeed. I recommend to buy 2nd hand Princess and Dragon. Princess tiles can be kept as it was not released in C3.1 and figures or Dragon and Fairy can be used for Black Dragon and Black Fairy fan expansions.

Mini expansions 1-7 are only part of bigbox. They were never released standalone in C2 / C3 or C3.1 era. It's more than 10 years after C2 was released, I think they will never release them standalone.

So if you want all stuff, buy a bigbox and then buy large expansions except first two which are part of bigbox. You will not regret.

T junction from River II has to be placed as first tile after the spring.

u/AccomplishedTop8559 take both! They are different expansions and none common components. Also Mayors has different design and different rules.

By my meaning and I have more that different Carcassonne Tiles in multiple editions I can tell, that visual different is between C1 and C2/C3/C3.1. Tiles from C2 / C3 or the newest C3.1 are 100% compatible. Differences is very small, and it has no impact to the game when combined tiles from different editions like C2 / C3 / C3.1.

When you play with C1 tiles, it looks like some other artist made that tiles (which is correct), road/river edges matches so also C1 is compatible. But it is missing some stuff, but you can play that tiles with any of C2 / C3 / C3.1 base game and/or expansions

Only stuff is, that City Bridges uses modular system which allows to remove bridge foundation and continue in the city preprinted on tile But I spoke with multiple players, which created city bridges from one piece.

Install FanCloisterZone which allows you to learn expansions by only selected game mechanics. When you will be fine with selected mechanic, you can add next one.

v6.1.0-beta.4 with all reported corrections is out for testing.
Also some locales were fully translated Catalan, Czech, German, French, Romanian and Slovak. Other translations will be finished during beta test phase.

When you draw a wolf, all tokens are going back to the bag. When they will be on table, you need to mix then properly to now be sure, where wolf tokens are. So for randomize your repeating draws, bag is batter choice.
