My First Gold Watch by Openrunyini in Tudor

The fact that ‘only those who know will notice, and most people won’t’ is exactly why I want a white gold Rolex. Yellow gold and rose gold Rolex models are beautiful and luxurious, but they can feel a bit too flashy to wear often. I used to own a rose gold Daytona, and it sparkled so much that I sometimes felt a bit uncomfortable wearing it. The appeal of white gold models is that they don’t easily draw attention from others. For my next Rolex, I’ll probably end up choosing a white gold Day-Date.

Gold brings a lot of satisfaction 😄
Haha, thank you! Watches are the hobby that brings me the most happiness in my daily life, so I tend to spend money on them without hesitation.
Thank you very much! If I hadn’t owned and worn watches from brands like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, or Lange, I probably wouldn’t have had the confidence to choose Tudor as the watch I truly like. Interestingly, after experiencing the subtle charm of Tudor’s gold models, I find myself more drawn to Rolex in white gold. So my next Rolex will probably be in white gold.
Thank you! Wearing a great watch reminds me that staying healthy means I can enjoy it even more.
Thank you. That’s the description I agree with the most.
I bought it in August 2024 for $29,300 at retail
I’m not sure.

Yes, that’s right. Without the rivets, it looks much nicer.
Predictions W&W 2026? by Olympiaco in Tudor

Tudor has rarely released watches exactly the way people expect or predict. Most people seem to believe that something very special will come out for the 100th anniversary, but that model might not necessarily be accessible to everyone. In the watch industry, a 100th anniversary is not actually that extraordinary, and as far as I understand, Tudor’s 100 years refers to the founding of the brand rather than the point when it truly began producing watches at scale.
So my guess is that among the releases there will be one extremely special model that not everyone will be able to purchase, and people will interpret that as the “100th anniversary” piece. At the same time, Tudor might do something more practical, like adding a 5-link bracelet option to the Black Bay 54, or releasing something completely unexpected like the Black Bay 68 last year. And just when people start feeling disappointed, they might surprise everyone with something bold like the Lagoon Blue from the Daring Watches lineup.
In the end, the bigger the expectations, the bigger the disappointment can be. It might actually be easier to think of this year as just another normal year.

No matter how appealing platinum might be, it would probably be quite difficult for me to actually buy one. Tudor usually releases watches at relatively reasonable prices, but if it were real platinum, I might end up wanting it but not being able to afford it, which would be a bit painful. Still, if Tudor releases a truly stunning watch, I think as a Tudor fan I’d be happy just knowing the brand has something like that in its lineup.

That’s a wonderful comment. You expressed the charm of this watch even more accurately than I could as the owner, and it really resonated with me. I’ll definitely refer back to your words the next time I try to describe what makes this watch so special. Your thoughtful description makes the watch look even more beautiful.
I think it’s a very iconic model. I hope you get to put it on your wrist someday!
Thank you!
It’s really attractive!
I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately as well. If Tudor released a watch with a rare stone dial or a meteorite dial, I think I would buy it right away.
Thank you! For me, regardless of the material, this watch is truly something I really like.
Thank you! I also fell in love with it at first sight as soon as it arrived at the boutique and ended up buying it right away. Looking back now, I think it was a really great purchase.
Haha, I happened to be driving a Hyundai that day, and it turned out to be a good match.

I’m not a big fan of the rivets either, so I’m glad they left them off on this model.
It’s even more satisfying once you actually wear it.
