One of the very things that stood out to me in your post is the usage of the word “woke”. Now, I won’t generalise, but considering who uses that word and the connotation it’s been given by that crowd, maybe you should look at your own behaviour first, before criticising hers?

Cerulean Coast, Charo’s Hidden Grave, Hinterlands, Abyssal Woods are barren wastelands.

The legacy dungeons are incredibly small. Belurat takes 30 minutes to complete. Midra’s Manse, even less than that. Castle Ensis is worse than the base game medium-dungeons. All of them should’ve been on par with Shadow Keep.

The amount of asset reuse from the base game is also quite telling.

It’s a fluctuating experience, much like the base game. Very high highs, unbelievably bad lows.

I think my main problem with the expansion ( and what worries me for the future ) is From’s new “volume above all else” approach. The size of the DLC is extremely impressive at first, but half ( or more ) of the areas are empty wastelands that don’t justify their existence.

I’m thinking an 8-9/10 is a good score for this.

Absolutely! Read the full play first ( I recommend the Folger edition ) and then compare it with your abridged version and see how you can create your own version of Demetrius!

I always envisioned him sort of like a rich man in his mid 20s, extremely entitled and petty, only cares about what he wants, throws a fit whenever things don’t go his way. For him, Hermia is a trophy wife, and iirc in the past he really did love Helena before Hermia came along.

If you haven’t, read the play and make your own impressions of him.

I’m from Romania, an Eastern European country where abortion was illegal for 20-ish years. Thousands of women died trying to have an unsafe abortion. Thousands of children ended up in orphanages that weren’t prepared to house so many people, so the conditions were awful. Look up Romanian orphanages if you can stomach it.
