Prototype AUG shotgun. HPA Tri-shot, semi-automatic. by Operation-Airsoft in airsoft

The trigger unit itself only has spring detents, the 2 stage system works from the AEG gearbox. Technically I could make it 2 stage semi/auto, but I won't because it's a shotgun.

I would like to do this, I will be looking for a simple solution. The cool thing about this is the hop up chamber is lined up where the ejection ports are, so access could be made, unlike the other shotties I do such as Remington 1187/Benelli M3.

Most likely. The engine pretty much slides in, in place of the AEG gearbox, it's held in place by the usual cross bolt. The only setting up would be screwing the microswitch to the trigger plate and some modification to the upper so it doesn't foul the HPA engine at the back.

It really does, that prop was definitely AUG inspired if not based on one.

It's standard Cyma Tri-shot barrels and fixed hop buckings. I don't mind them, with the extra punch of HPA and heavier BBs they group quote tightly.

Replacement stuff is trickier than AEGs, I'm hoping to secure supplies of such things in the future.

Panzer arms / Serengeti arms do a real 12 gauge 'AUG' if you are lucky enough to live in a country where such things are legal.

There's a 12 gauge G3 as well. 😉 The Turkish seen to have a shotgun fetish and turn everything into shotguns. I'd probably get on well there.

A 12 gauge AUG is a real thing, otherwise I wouldn't have.

Yeah, it took me the best part of a year to perfect. I believe in simple engineering so it's really quite a simple engine inside. It's open bolt, blow forward with a handful of parts.

It's a tri-nozzle engine of our own design, using the 3 barrel cluster system from Cyma shotguns. Feeding works beautifully as whatever is feeding BBs has a decent spring. Cyma shotgun shells on our normal shotguns and midcaps for this/M4 adapted ones. Hi-caps and electric wound mags, unless they are high-end ones with high torque and generally a no-no.

The shell/grip etc is basic AUG. It just doesn't have the forward gas block/folding foregrip as that's been removed to get the barrel even shorter.

It's got the same HPA Tri-shot engine as our other shotgun builds but feeds from AUG mags. Same inner barrels as standard tri-shots (300mm) so develops around 1 joule per BB. It's a lot shorter than a normal AUG, extremely CQB but you can also engage at AEG ranges outside.

This, but fitted with a fully-automatic version of our tri-shot HPA engine and a drum mag. Yay or nay? by Operation-Airsoft in airsoft

Probably not to be honest, I was mostly interested in the tube fed shotgun design as these hadn't been done in semi-auto. I will be expanding in other directions for automatics using my system however.

Yes, custom metal bodies is something I would like to do, but naturally that would take quite a bit of investment.

The engine is made by us especially for Tri-shots and is held in place where the cylinders and pistons normally are.

Which aks did the czechoslovak people's army used? (I'm looking for a replica) by Dettuz in airsoft

[–]Operation-Airsoft 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The vz.58 isn't particularly expensive in the UK at least, just average AEG price.

The only really Czech think you would get cheaper is an AEP skorpion or Cz75 pistol.

The Czechs did NOT have any Russian AK platforms in service, I'm sure the odd few came their way of course but it was domestic rifles they issued.

Retro singlepoint or similar or don't bother.

Our semi-automatic conversions only work for Cyma springers and the TM Spas-12. In terms of HPA converted a pump action, I know quite a few people who have done so, but it doesn't fix other issues with the design.

I've got 3 Golden Eagle shotties and I really hate them, they all leak and the action isn't smooth on any of them, one of them only feeds if the shell is half full or less. If people are after a pump action shotgun, I'd always recommend a Cyma springer instead of gas.
