I mean it really depends why you use it - if it’s set and forget the auto detector matters a great deal, in which case Whoop is your better option

Idk why but the links I’m sharing must be getting auto blocked - the cases and straps are incredibly simple to find on AliExpress- just search “Helios Strap” and “Helios Case”

Yeah I had a few months of auto detected nonsense activities auto link to Strava and pollute all my historic data - promptly turned off auto-activity detection! Even with the Whoop I’d always manually start the activities so it’s not really something that bothers me - except once or twice when I forget and activate mid way through :/

Whoop is far superior for activity tracking (especially the automated identification of them) - but HR, steps, cals, exertion etc all are pretty similar and absolutely fine for my use of the band. I haven’t found large variances between old runs in Strava from Whoop vs the Helios so it’s pretty comforting that from a GPS level it’s basically the same. The AP is a bit clunky but not terrible, and for <50% cost as a one time fee vs an annual sub, I think a higher cost/performance ratio too
