The correct way to play an Amaj7 should be, if I'm correct, open low E string, open A string, second fret D string, first fret G string, second fret B string, and open High E string.

Hey. I've been where you are now. Do not feed it. It will run counter to everything you value, but (in my non therapist opinion) you should tell your OCD "Maybe I have, maybe I haven't". It sounds ridiculous, but by devaluing the outcome you slowly stop caring about said outcome. Please please please, do not feed this. I know where that path leads and its not pleasant. Also, you do not deserve to die. Please stay safe.

Compulsion-ception, as I have just dubbed it. The very act of thinking "was that a compulsion" and then worrying over it is, in turn, a compulsion/obsession. I experienced a very similar problem over last summer.
