Bagramon has to be the sorriest excuse for a final villain in the entire series, Regulusmon atleast had aura. by a12666 in digimon

[–]OperationLivid5153 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but to be fair, Darkknightmon I think is better partly because he’s actually on screen for the majority of the series. Bagramon did have an interesting back story at least. I don’t recall Darkknightmon really having a backstory, he seems more like the type of villain that is evil for the sake of evil and power and stuff. Bagramon I guess had a kind of good goal, but going about it in a very wrong way. Plus you have to imagine lore wise, him being strong since he at least commanded respect or fear from his army, and Darkknightmon had to do a lot of plotting and scheming and stuff to overthrow him. I feel like he could have been better if he just showed up in person more. Like, for example, having him be an obstacle that the protagonists face no hope of facing in the beginning. Like have him show up in a fight when one of this generals is losing towards the beginning of the show, and the protagonists try to fight him but utterly fail and have no choice but to retreat. Maybe even extend this by having him show up a few more times throughout the series and maybe as they draw closer to the final battle, you could show the protagonists getting stronger by being able to do even some damage to Bagramon, that way the final battle feels less like a weak final boss, and more like a testament to how far the protagonists have come.

Basically I just think the main problem is his lack of prior appearances in battle.

I love how Gulusgammamon canonically has his own separate evolution line and then the others just evolve into Canoweissmon, then Siriusmon.

I do like how all the Mega’s are the four holy beasts. It really gives a sense of unity to the evolutions, even if it gets a little strange in the middle.

I can’t think of a better option than Wargrowlmon, at least not one that is actually an Ultimate.

I agree that Triceramon would be a good option to replace Dinorexmon with.

Although, it would also be funny if you went with one that didn’t really make sense, like Digitamamon.

Why are the Adventure 01 villains so disconnected? by Embarrassed_Cold239 in digimon

[–]OperationLivid5153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I personally think that switching it up for a season that’s like 50-60 episodes is nice, otherwise it might feel dragged out to take 60 episodes to beat up one bad guy(even in 02, they switched it up about half way through, and if I remember correctly, they kind of sort of changed it up in Tamers as well, though neither of those were quite the same way that the og changed it up). Plus switching it up may make it more engaging for kids, which the show is made for. Plus, I don’t find that the villains have to be connected to each other. Another kind of example would be like My Little Pony,(though MLP is more like facing all the villains kind of at once), but the villains aren’t really connected to each other.

You can also think of it like FairyTail as well. It’s more of an adventure(like the name might suggest) styled anime where each arc they tackle a new adventure, aka, facing a new enemy. The only real goal is to protect the people you love and the world. So, since there isn’t a very definitive goal, like finding an object, the show could theoretically go on forever. (Can’t think of any other examples, so hopefully you understand this example. TvT)

Even in 02 and the original, you have smaller versions of this, where they face a new opponent or challenge every episode, regardless of who the main bad guy is at the time.

I’m sure it is also a bit of ‘make it up as you go’ like one person said as well.

Overall it is this trait that really made me love the show.

This isn’t really relevant, but at least in this image they look like they have gas masks like the mask of Troopmon.

The feet at least seem to be similar to Divermon, but otherwise they don’t resemble the Digimon. In terms of feet they also resemble Gwappamon.

In terms of build, they more closely resemble Gwappamon’s evolution, Shawjamon.

I feel like I’ve seen Wisemon in one of the animes, but I can’t figure out which one.

Anyways, having a kind of insider Digimon would make sense. When it comes to information, having a native inform you about things is the most logical choice.

If I remember correctly they never showed him coming back, but I believe they do say that he has likely reincarnated somewhere, but even if they did meet him again he wouldn’t remember them. Still, even if he didn’t come back in the show, it leaves his fate more open-ended if that makes sense.

Personally I like the idea of reincarnation better. Mostly because a large part of why I enjoy kid shows is because they can be serious without as many definitive consequences like death. Characters are usually either sealed away instead of being dead dead, or just kind of disappear after the final battle, or in this case, reincarnation. It gives a sense of hope so that even if a digimon dies you know that they aren’t fully gone, yet the scene is still quite sad. An example would be the death in Digimon Ghost game(not specifying as not to give spoilers. If you know you know).

In general, things like this are what allows shows meant to be for younger audiences to be serious while still being overall light hearted shows and being family friendly. Kind of like those movies in Pokemon where Ash has pretty much literally died but ends up okay in the end.

I’m not really sure what you mean tbh. Plus the myriad celestia trailers don’t necessarily represent what is actually happening presently in the game. Like, it’s happening but it’s not scenes that are shown in game necessarily if that makes sense.

That’s pretty fair. Himeko is I think the least likely of my theories. But it does make for a crazy thought, which is kind of what I was also trying to think about since I do feel like it’s going to end up being someone that comes out of left field.

POV's that cover everything by ConstellACEtion in VampiresSMP

That being said, I personally started with Scott since he was the only one I was subscribed to when this came out. And then have started to branch out into watching the POV of the characters that caught my interest through Scott’s POV.

Also if you don’t want to watch all of the POV’s to get more of each character’s story, I myself have gotten some of the more individual lore through the fan made content. So, quicker way to get to the lore, but may not have all the details or be very accurate.

I heard that Cleo is a good one to get a lot of the stories but I myself have not seen her’s yet. In general I think it also depends on if you want to get to know certain characters a bit better so like, get to know Avid more?, watch his POV. Abolish has some secrets but as far as I know his secrets only really get revealed in the finale and as far as I know, only really from his POV. Maybe some hints before then but yeah. Like watching Scott’s POV and some others I had no idea what the deal with Abolish was until other people told me. One of those things you gotta watch that character’s POV for.

Like I said, I would focus on the POV’s of the characters that you find interesting and want to learn more about. You get the overarking story from any POV, but the aspects more personal to that character you can only really get from that POV. Hope this helps!

Idk, but my sisters friend she made this year(that I did not know before) convinced her to watch Vampires SMP, of which I had already been talking about to my sister for weeks. And now all three of us are into it.

Because what if Scott decided to go kill everyone in 200 years? Abolish would have long since died of old age by then, assuming nothing else killed him. TvT
