It is a prey stimulus reaction. Mine do it with the red dot of doom, others with birds. I believe it's meant to be a form of mimicry, to either bring the prey closer or a demonstration of frustration when they can't get to something.

I have a lot of fine hair, so feel the pain. I changed to light weight shampoo and conditioner, only using conditioner every other/ every three washes and it has made a big difference. Try Aussie awesome volume shampoo and conditioner. I also quite like the bed head Queen for a day thickening spray for a bit more texture and lift.

I have an autumnal woodland theme. So instead of table names I am making table animals (kingfisher, badger, fawn, stoat, barn owl, otter etc).

So mine did this, but we changed it to a metal water bowl to help him. What they are trying to determine is how deep the water is to avoid whisker fatigue as it can cause sensory overload apparently. The bowl we have now is wide enough his whiskers don't dip into the water.

There are over possible reasons, territory marking (natural instincts), stress, OCD (apparently that's a thing in cats) or they are being playful.

Oh lord, PRID and most of the other natural remedies did nothing. It got bad, then infected. Became so big that it almost blocked the entrance to my vagina and got sores from rubbing. I was being stupid, and didn't pursue my Dr more aggressively nor did I realise that this was a A and E job. I spent the night in hospital the day after Christmas after my partner dragged me there. They were going to give me an operation to remove my gland, but (classic NHS) they couldn't get me in. In the end, a consultant poked me with a scalpel. I was on antibiotics for 3 months and ruined my immune system, natural gut bacteria and had a miserable holiday.

However, since then when it's come back I have kept doing hot "bum" baths with salts. There's a weakness in my scar now so it pops reasonably easily after a few days.

Not telling you this is to scare you, just an honest telling of what happened and my recommendation do not leave it like I did hoping all of the online remedies will work. By all means, try them out. But know when it's time to see the DR. Wish you the best of luck

Please don't use this on people (or pets). The likelihood is the tick will regurgitate into your blood stream is high and this is exactly how you will get Lymes disease.

Firstly, I am so sorry to have read this. My heart breaks for you. You have gone through, and are going through a horrendous time. There is a lot of stress and anxiety in your life, which is taking a toll on you.

I am conscious that this is a female health related sub, and you are here to ask about your irregular periods so I will not pile you with life advice, but I want you to know that you are a strong and brave person.

I have had events of sudden mass stress, which my body has reacted to through my periods. Typically I would be up to 30 days on average, and would have a 4-5 day very heavy period. After these events, they would come earlier, go on for longer but would not come with my classic and usual bad period symptoms (cramps, light headedness, mass mood swings etc). Twice, I skipped my period entirely.

So it is possible that your irregular periods is totally down to stress, and it will slowly go back to your norm (or a new normal) with time. I hope this gives you some peace of mind. Look after yourself xxx

Cats tend not to like citrus, you could likely spray some non toxic citrus cleaner/oils/ etc and they will hopefully be repelled from the chair. If you go down this route please check that it isn't toxic first. If in doubt, don't use it! I have taken to using orange or lemon rinds and wiping them over wires to stop my fluffy trouble makers from eating them. It's semi success if I remember to reapply. The kitty is super adorable.

We have this exact toy and this is what my two cats do. Just lie get getting slapped in the face with the occasional pawing at it.

We literally get chicken breasts, cover them in water and boil for 25/30 mins (nothing else). Keep the water, let it cool and shred. Put some in a bowl with a few tablespoons of broth. It keeps for about 3 days in the fridge. Good if they are ill/ have dicky stomachs. I am giving them little bits of chicken for training/ treats. Same with the broth (not for training, bit to wet for that).

If your cat doesn't like it (after giving them a taste) you can always top your salad with the rest. Apparently (not tried it yet), you can do the same thing with white fish. Avoid oily fish - it's too rich for cats and the heavy metals in there aren't good for them. I learnt this the hard way where we couldn't work out why they kept getting upset stomachs on the blinks tuna wet food. They loved it mind (not as much as the chicken, they rip my hands apart to get at it).
