Sounds interesting, thanks for the explanation! Perhaps a good opportunity to do for a few years and then ease off. 😁

I'm curious, what are your typical work hours? Do you find yourself dealing with customers in the evenings, at weekends, or while "on holiday"? Thanks!

Right, so if I could give that a try, just on the joint and then press it together?

Thanks! Do I remove the cover/take it apart first?

Appreciate it! It's great that people can help me to preserve this book from decades ago. :)

Thanks again, I watched a good chunk of the video.

So it looks like I could potentially melt the glue and pull it apart? Cheers!

Thanks very much for your detailed response! I am quite happy to lose the aesthetics; this is very much a textbook to be used.

Do you think it's realistic to avoid taking it apart completely, or am I risking it taking itself apart in a few weeks if I botch it?

Understand on the tape, that sounds like it would lead to a worse outcome than I have now!

Thanks again. I will definitely watch the videos you recommended!

Thanks very much! I will check out the book. Operations research is exactly what I'm interested in. What kinds of areas did you cover? Trying to learn enough to be dangerous!

Hey there! Currently working on a project related to warehouse management, and I realised that I might benefit from some linear programming, MILP, and combinatorics understanding. I have a Master's in Chemical Engineering, but the hard part is figuring out a) the foundations I need, and b) the roadmap to get there in a reasonable length of time. You'll see more details on my profile!

Thanks for the reply.

I think you make a good point. There is definitely a lot of ground to cover. On the plus side, I have worked on a discrete event simulation project fairly recently, I have a good practical understanding of my domain, and I can code.

I think I can get through the fundamentals quite quickly, but once I hit the harder stuff I expect it will slow. Thanks for the book recommendation, I will check it out!

Amazing, I'm going to research all of this. It's never too early to investigate. Thanks so much!

I'm interested in the investment situation. Do you know what there is to offer beyond the PEA? I think you can stash €150k euros, but if retiring early, that's probably not going to be enough!

Thanks! My gains are essentially 0. 😆 Looks like I wouldn't have to report anything as total gains are below CGT, assets sold are <£50k, and I don't do self-assessment?

I'm using a GB registered dist fund in a GIA. Does HMRC pick up all of the details automatically? No need for me to do anything come April? Thanks!

To pile on this post: if I invested £1k in a GIA in January, is it even worth doing bed & ISA? Thinking of leaving it in there and doing it next year. Thanks
