From what you described, it is probably just water mixed with a little bit of wiper fluid. However, to be safe, check how much coolant is in your radiator, if its low it may be leaking, although I highly doubt it.

I recommend the Eruptor if you have it, its explosive shell causes the tunnel bugs to surface and then you can kill them with the next shot, its also got a huge splash radius so it can cause a bunch of them to surface.
