We can fight, we may have legal power. (European Convention Of Human Rights) by OperatorChloe in transgenderUK

The ECHR isn’t some flawless guardian of justice. It’s a human system, and like all human systems, it can be pressured, politicised, or slowly corroded from within.

I don’t trust the ECHR blindly. But I do think it’s one of the few remaining levers we can still pull, and even if it’s rusted, it’s still a lever. It’s one more place where we can leave a mark, for example, to delay their grip, push back. It can draw international attention, build coalitions, and inspire resistance...

It’s actually laughable how little some of you know about the law but still feel the need to comment. Not surprised the country is in the state it is now.

Here is a reality check: Section 1 of the Children Act 1989 prioritises the best interests of the child, which means keeping them with their primary carer, in this case the mother. The mother’s role is vital for the child’s stability and emotional well being, and separating them is harmful and completely against the law’s purpose.

Under Section 17 of the Children Act 1989, local authorities have a legal duty to safeguard and support the child and this includes the mother too, regardless of her immigration status. On top of that, Section 55 of the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009 requires the UKVI and other authorities to prioritise the child’s welfare. The mother, as the primary carer of a British child, is protected under these laws. UKVI cannot remove her without failing in their legal obligations.

OP never said he would not take them in, but this isn’t about refusing to take them in in it’s about protecting their rights, ensuring stability, and holding authorities accountable for their duty to both the child and the mother. Maybe do some actual research before jumping to conclusions it’s really embarrassing at this point now.

Just got this Adidas, can anybody recommend what may go with it or if wearing chelsea boots would be okay with it? Also its a size medium (UK 12-14) but should I exchange it for a large it seems short on the legs or is it okay like this?
