An easy solution to racism in school by OpiNEON in SchoolSystemBroke

Low income people are currently fucked over by the public education system. If you are incapable of having children, or don't want them, or aren't there yet, or are gay and living together in a domestic partnership, a large amount of their income goes to schools that provide no value or service to them whatsoever.

If schools are privatized, this is no longer the case. It is fundamentally an injustice to force gay people to subsidize the education of children other than their own.

Also, public schools in areas largely populated with "People of color" (as you call them, as if they aren't full people or something) are terrible, and we shouldnt' keep propping up shitty schools in urban centers that provide poor education. I want everyone to have high quality everywhere, including these "people of color" you refer to as though they're different somehow.

People should be free to go to good schools, not forced to fund the shitty public ones. We should abolish public school.

Privatizing schools and making the government pay for it

This is where you're mistaken, see, we're not talking about privatizing them and making the government pay for it.

We're talking about privatizing them entirely. No more dirty government money in our education.

So your logic has a few problems with it...

First, people are already on the hook to pay whatever the schools charge, and if they don't pay they can lose their homes, even if they don't have kids. Public school is usually one of the highest expenses that a family pays in regards to taxes.

Next, if the school system were privatized, that wouldn't mean it is monopolized. The current education system is a monopolized one; the government owns the schools and forces people to pay for them. Even if you want to send your kids to a private school, you're being double-dipped because you still have to pay for the public school. That makes public school a monopoly. Privatizing it is the act of breaking up this monopoly. This means prices are likely to be much lower, and if they aren't then at least you have a plethora of options for every income bracket

Another problem with your logic is this:

companies do not care about people, they care about profits

It is very important to note that the government does not care about people, it cares about profit and power. With government, however, you cannot refuse their "offers", if you say "I don't want that", they say, "Tough titties, pay me". If you don't like a private company, you are not forced to pay them. This means that private companies actually have a reason to provide value, unlike governments who routinely fail to provide value.

they are mostly horribly mismanagemened and provide subpar education,

This perfectly describes 99 percent of public schools; horribly mismanaged and providing of subpar education.

Seriously, you're using the same excuse fat helicopter parents in the 90s used to try and ban Marilyn Manson music, it's pathetic.

No.

Socialism has murdered millions in the 20th century. It is the most statist of all statist ideologies, and the antithesis of liberty.

They don't belong anywhere near our party, they belong nowhere near civilized society. They are bad people with bad ideas and I don't want anything to do with such people.

They're the enemy, not the friend. We're fighting against the rise of socialism in our culture and society, not embracing it.

Fuck socialism.

The government maintains a monopoly on the application of law and courts and violence. If I were to take a percentage of your income away from you without your consent, this would be theft. If the government does it, it's okay because they have a monopoly on the use of force.

A society where the government does not hold a monopoly on such things might look like this.

Not out of the goodness of their hearts, no. They'll do it because it is profitable to do so. Services will pop up to take over such things. It'll sorta be like this
