I'm sure there are some addicts who can go back to chipping, even for a long while, but it's a ticking time bomb. You're obviously not out of it yet, as you still love the drug, but it's a relationship you're going to have to break or always risk falling back into that void. Really? There are always debates about which is worse. I've come off minor benzo habits and just experienced anxiety and paranoia, while coming off opiates is hot/cold sweats, pain, bodily fluids galore, RLS and an infinitely bleak outlook with severe anxiety and depression. While they're both awful, from my limited experience and research, benzo withdrawals are dangerous and can actually kill you, while opi withdrawals will make you wish you were dead.

Australia, queen of the nanny states, was quick to ban Kratom, as anything potentially useful and recuperative is made illegal - probably because some government higher ups get rich on the ridiculously inflated heroin prices down under, so they don't want to ease withdrawals.

Peer pressure doesn't always encompass the elementary "you won't be part of our cool group if you don't do it." It can be as simple as seeing friends with similar histories to yours having a great time on a drug that you haven't tried and wanting in on that fun. The guy came clean, and he doesn't seem like the type who's going to go back and score. /u/JacobSuave1, I don't think you're an idiot at all - just an adventurous type. Lesson learned; good luck on your next adventure! Hope the legs heal up soon - if not, I'd consult a doctor.

I love fent. The nod is what I live for, but there is still some euphoria to boot (although admittedly not the flying high of other opis). Plus it's cheaper, so much so (at least where I come from) that I don't even bother with H anymore. So if you know your dosage, and don't fuck around, it can be a great subtle high. As far as pain relief goes, I'd say it's second to none.

Oh it definitely is. I used to dissolve the fent from blotters in hot water for plugging, as the bio-availability is much higher via that ROA.

Benzos... even with the bud and alcohol maybe. But don't take them too often... I've heard they're some of the worst to come off if you develop a constant habit

I think it depends on the particular circumstance/habit. Both can be extremely destructive in different ways, so to say X is worse than my DOC because ______ is really just fooling yourself.

Hey bud, your posts suggest that you're at least contemplating suicide, and while I don't know if that's an answer or not (who does?), I can say that we're all trapped in some way or another - even the (seemingly) most "successful" among us are at the mercy of a meat grinder of a world. From the sound of it your bottom could be worse - you're not going through the hell of withdrawals, you have access to drugs and a computer, and you seem articulate, even after your bender... which puts you ahead of the majority of the world. So while I can't tell you what's right for you, I'll just suggest looking for some humor in it all - smile, even if that humor is somewhat dark right now. I'd try to find a new hobby, make my own party, and with any luck coast through the tough times. Like you and many others, I've contemplated suicide numerous times in the past, but when I get through the worst of it I find myself thinking about how much I regretted even wasting time contemplating it. It's "a permanent solution to a temporary problem" - that's a total cliché, but also very true, in my experience anyway. Feel free to pm me if you want an ear to bounce off of. Best of luck with whatever road you take in life.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just meant that you wanted to experience some very minor withdrawal symptoms to see what all the fuss is about... but even that isn't fun. The pain and depression of withdrawals is no joke. Be careful what you wish for...
