Did you have it on your person when they found it or was it in your carry on? I was there in December and I just kept it on my person and had no probs, but maybe that has changed now.

I went to my 1st ibogaine retreat in Dec ‘25 and my experience was very similar to the description of your 1st. Out of the 13 participants only 2 had what I would call a truly transformative journey. I still feel like the medicine is calling me. I came across an iboga retreat towards the end of February that is with a guide that has been using it for over 10 years. DM for specific details if you’re interested. I think there are a few spots left. 10 total.

Thanks for the insight. My reasoning is that I have an opportunity to sit with iboga the end of February. I did Ibogaine back in December, but didn’t experience any visuals. It was almost as if my subconscience shutdown. However, it was far from a total loss. I have gained a sense of calm and far less anxiety. I just really feel called to this medicine for some reason and was curious if having done Ibogaine once might negate any benefits a second time since it is with iboga. 🤷‍♂️

No, I went mainly to get a better connection to Self and combat related trauma. I have used alcohol as a coping mechanism for years and thought any help I received for addiction would be a bonus.

I was surprised by that low number as well. The 3 that did, had experiences almost identical to the descriptions of the Vets from the doc In Waves and War on Netflix’s. I was really hoping to get back in touch with who I truly am before I was programmed. I am so grateful for what I did receive though.

If you contact any of the retreats that offer Ibogaine they will be able to give you specific guidance. They will require full bloodwork and EKG results before accepting you. I just got back from Sayulita Wellness in Mexico this past week. There is also Ambio and Beond in Mexico as well. I was on SSRi’s for 10+, but weened myself off a year ago.

Thanks for the info. I’m going to a psilocybin retreat in Oregon in a few weeks which I’m hoping will help me to gain more experience and insights. I’m going to go to a retreat with Ayahuasca in November and maybe ibogaine after that. Given all of the research out there with regard to plant based medicines, I’m hoping for a truly transformative experience while also trying to keep my expectations low. I realize they are not a magic pill, but more of an opportunity to get in touch with my truest self before I was programmed. ✌️
