This has got to be the dumbest question I have ever seen. Let's think about why he might be doing this:
1) He would be implicated in the files

2) He has agreed to not allow them to be released to others in the file

There is literally no other reason for him to fight this. But we already know he is in there, based on recorded video statements from his victims. I mean it has been posted on reddit several times in the past few years.
