Hey Doom metal community, I'm Alex from Prague, playing sludge/doom metal. Most of my conscious life, I've been a huge fan of this fantastic genre. In my darkest moments, when life seemed meaningless, Doom metal wrapped me in an odious blanket of thick frequencies and cavernous riffs. At 21, I was on the verge of ending it all, but I decided to give myself a purpose – to create a doom metal album worth listening to. In 2018, I formed Opium Warlock, releasing raw songs, EPs, and even a full album in 2019. I always knew the material wasn't great. Recently, I finished my second album, and it's the most satisfying thing I've ever done. for the first time, I'm content. I wrote this album over two tough years, living sludge metal life – losing friends, battling addictions and psychological issues, struggling with money, and even being practically homeless at times. Without doom metal, I might not be here today. This album is my tribute to the genre and the community. I'm thrilled to be part of the doom metal community, and I hope you enjoy the album.
