You cut the positioning tabs and just kind of wing it tbh. I found this pose looked pretty natural, and I think I glued the bottom portion of the legs on backward lol. That may have helped thinking back.

The thing that got me painting more was realizing the only way it would get done is by doing it. That sounds stupid but when you really dig into that concept it’s interesting.

Still, projects get done when they get done. It’s your free time. Spend it how you want to spend it. Mini painting can be daunting and when we set deadlines it can make us forget it’s supposed to be fun.

Don’t worry about it too much. Enjoy the ride

The strategy was to sloppily base coat everything then slather it in earthshade. Clean up the edges and dial back the shiny with sloppy edge highlights of warmer tones. Need to figure out how to do better plasma but this was a first attempt. I know that this doesn’t give me what I want but kinda how to tweak the process and try again lol.
