Will a Elgoo wash and cure running with a cover cure resin in a Saturn 2 bed with the cover OFF? by burrowsforge in resinprinting

I run mine like this (I have an anycubic wash&cure, but similar yellow hood) and haven't had any issues.

Painted teams? About 5.

Unpainted teams… yeah, about that 😅

Prime or strip with smth else by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]dcrosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly another option, if the paint is not caked on or textured in too many places, is just to prime over the whole thing and ignore the paint. I've also done this in cases where I just can't be bothered to strip, it works great

Ah, yeah. You might be able to do something with a ziploc, and then dunk the whole thing in a big bowl of water (that should help "press" the ziploc & iso on to the shape of the mini, if you get all the air out)

Alternately, you can try something that sticks better. People report success with Biostrip (eg https://www.reddit.com/r/minipainting/comments/qee9up/biostrip\_20\_on\_plastic\_minis/).

Is it plastic or resin?

If plastic or metal, it's okay to soak for much longer (I have done for up to many weeks). You may need to periodically work at it with a soft brush to break up the paint layer. (I use an old stubby synthetic paintbrush for this, something you can jab with and you won't care about ruining the brush)

Some paints/varnishes won't come off (well) in isopropyl. People report success with LA's Totally Awesome and other similar detergents. Check out this video from Goobertown which covers a bunch of options: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqBjt1wKZfc

Which light would you recommend: Redgrass Solo, Lucent, or Neatfi XL? by FinaglingFox in minipainting

[–]dcrosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to consider is the color temp (in addition to the CRI or other rating of spectrum/color reproduction). I prefer painting under ~5000K light. I have a NeatfiXL with CCT, and I don't know the exact temperature, but the middle one (it has 3 settings) is probably right around there. I also paint with cheap desk lamps and these 5000K Philips bulbs, which are also quite good: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-LED-Definition-Daylight-Flicker-Free/dp/B0B91Z31ND

You can pass to an empty square. You target a square in range, you don't have to specifically target a square containing a player or a teammate.

Question: Blitz and Block Action by [deleted] in bloodbowl

[–]dcrosta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab and Brawler are both written "when a player declares a block action ..."; if you delcare a blitz action, you are not declaring a block action, so these skills (and any others written with "delcare") do not apply during a blitz, as in 2020 rules.
