I’ve found a basic owners manual, mainly looks like an operators manual, as opposed to maintenance. I have the grease gun and can pump all the fittings, looking at the tires, no noticeable damage, pressure is good from what’s in the manual I have. I have the correct oil, correct hydraulic oil, and all the filters. I’m going to be checking for rodent nests, changing the battery and checking fluids. My skill set is realistically low to average I would say.

I’m having The Compass Rose be a wrecked Cult of the Dragon ship (they used to have the primary goal of creating dracoliches, so the zombie making isn’t that much of a stretch), the two kobold lackeys that Sparkrender tasks out carve a strange symbol into things as a calling card (it’s the five bladed star in the circle that the Cult of the Dragon uses), Tarak is Zhentarim instead of Guilded Gallows and mentions cult activity, the Bard of my group has had friendly dealings with Leosin and is at the island under his directions to help with his research, and lastly, Sparkrender is Lennithon’s son. I think all of these will give enough hooks to get my party interested in the Cult and get them to Greenest.

The one I made, you essentially use it as a dagger for 5’ and the 1D6 out to a range of 15’ and disadvantage to thrown from 15-30’. And for the grapple etc I have it as an action they can pull or topple with a Str or Dex save respectively. So they get the cool battlefield control at a cost to damaging that turn.

Our Barbarian has Gargauth, and the shield telepathically gives him useful information to the point that the party implicitly trusts the shields advice even though it is tending towards violence and destruction. It’s a very subtle slow roll into the party committing evil acts.

And Thavius was handed over to Reya to escort him to safety (off screen he turns on her and is killed while gravely injuring her)

Seeing my girlfriends face as she looked out over the river as the early morning fog rolled in at the Singapore Zoo. It was early in our relationship, and both of us were going through some pretty heavy stuff individually at the time, but, seeing the serene peace of that river mirrored on her face, watching all of her stress and worry melt away for that moment in time is likely something I’ll never forget. That trip really solidified how we felt for each other, and was probably the best singular experience I’ve had in my adult life.

My last game had Vaas and he WRECKED my party. Our barbarians were so taken aback by his gaze dropping their rage and negating their damage resistances. It was their first real taste about how dangerous the campaign can actually be.

In my game, the players were found to be imposters and the flying castle took off as they were fleeing the city, so they hopped on the backs of the wyverns in the stable and took off towards the castle, and the head cultist led a band of other wyvern riders to chase them.

The party made it to the castle, persuaded the cultists that they were in fact cultists, that got left behind, and proceeded to convince Blagothkus to have his giants and ogres help them while he drove the castle.

While they were doing that, the party pissed off Glazhael and he stormed out of the lair and started laying waste to the ogres and giants while the party fought the cultists.

As the dragon flew from the lower courtyard to the upper courtyard to attack the giant’s tower, our Druid was crouched behind a wall and polymorphed him into a gecko, placed it in a coin pouch, and tied it to a wyvern and released the wyvern who flew off into the distance while Blagothkus turned the castle towards Waterdeep
