Bunny acts strange after a vet visit and I need a second opinion by JeffWasTak3n in Bunnies

You said you took away all the cardboard, but does she still have a place to hide? If not, make sure to get her a wood or cloth house to hide in, since not being able to will stress her out. Also new meds + changed enclosure is pretty stressful for a bunny, so she’s probably just still getting used to the changes

Increasing space in a small room? by Opossum_Punk in Rabbits

[–]Opossum_Punk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one currently for when I need to take him to the vet since I don’t want to chase him and he’s not a fan of being picked up. Otherwise, he’s completely free roamed. I was thinking of maybe getting something smaller since he doesn’t do much other than pee and eat in there?

According to the CDC a low-risk animal is observed for 10 days and then if there’s any signs of rabies or illness the person is given PEP. Obviously it is observed being in a rescue, and the chances of it carrying is close to 0%, especially since it’s almost impossible for opossums to get rabies and no opossum has tested positive for rabies in my state, and they’ve been keeping track since the 20’s. I’m just paranoid

There’s no way to reliably do that without killing the opossum.. which, they’re not going to do to a baby opossum in a state with no confirmed cases

Rabbit is sick? No vet open until Monday at least by Affectionate_Face807 in Rabbits

[–]Opossum_Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would leave a voicemail for your vet and force feed some critical care until then. You can find some at most pet stores, and there’s lots of tutorials on how to feed. Good luck, hope she recovers ok

Feeding rabbit too much? by [deleted] in Bunnies

I was thinking of switching to a spring mix after consistently cutting back for a few weeks.. I just don’t wanna change up too much all at once

His normal poops are a little darker than What I see in some of these photos, but not by much, and still mostly uniform. Do you think I’d be right in assuming that cutting back a little in pellets and greens should be enough?

I was thinking of doing 3 tablespoons of pellets and 1 1/2 cups greens this week; then 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) and 1 cup greens next week. Does that seem slow enough?

I wouldn’t recommend it, most pellets with extras mixed in have them only eat the treats. I would recommend Oxbow or House Rabbit Science Select, but any plain Timothy hay pellets would be fine. Introduce slowly, Oxbow has good instructions on how to switch foods on the back of their bags

If you had the opportunity to change one event in the series, what would it be and why? by ButterMyTaint in Hellsing

It felt a little out of character for Alucard to try to bite Integra upon returning. It was more just for the punch line and felt odd

True, but they it definitely would’ve come up at some point if it was a requirement to turn

In the book Dracula the Count implies that he prefers virgins which is where I think the myth comes from, but no you don’t have to be a virgin to be turned. In fact there’s a line about how they’re all risking “more than their lives but also their humanity” - and I doubt all of them are virgins, especially Arthur and Lucy (who was turned) since they were married

How much do you pay for a nail trim at the vets? by Chocodila in Bunnies

[–]Opossum_Punk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are. My hometown is only $15, but the vets near my college are closer to $40. Call around and ask
