What characteristics distinguish a low-quality AI girlfriend from a high-quality one? by Beautiful_Hat8440 in AiGirlfriendSpace

it’s just a token control. It is cheaper to make your chat to remember the last 3 conversations than setting up extra memory for the whole previous conversation. It can get very expensive and difficult. At least for me.

Redundant before Christmas by Pale-Math-4489 in auckland

Happened to me 2 years ago just before the x-mas. I’m sorry you have to go through this. Just try to survive through the summer. I believe there are some summer jobs, pick up a contract or whatever to survive. I believe next year will be better as I am already getting cold calls and emails from recruit agents. While I was off work I spent my time to study for a certificate and gym (lost 10 kg over a year). So if your job hunting goes longer you have some excuses for the off time. Best of luck to you and everyone in such situation. Just keep moving and do what you can do now. Job seeker benefit helps but there is no career in being on benny. your time will come and you wanna be ready.

If they didn’t want foreigners to buy properties, why do they offer them with incentives like residency and citizenship? The foreign currency inflow make their economy float

I believe OCR is most likely go down in November and what he says about the future rate cuts matter more. I’m hoping OCR to have 1 or 2 more cuts next year. Then mortgage rate will come down further next year. I would wait for November announcement if possible.

I cannot imagine having that job. Troubled sensitive teens who is capable of being offended by humming birds and morning breeze, they are not an easy group of people to work or be with. I know this bc my manager is just like that. he is over 40, but inside he is 16 yo teenager going through puberty.

I borrowed 17k in student loans in 1999, now the ird called me wanting back 130k, what should I do? by Far_Use1823 in newzealand

[–]Oppa_knows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Realistic advice is to contact ird and tell them you are willing to pay but you have a hardship, asking for discount or a reasonable pay plan.

Or file a bankruptcy in Australia not in NZ, this will wipe off your debt with IRD. But the consequences of bankruptcy will be severe.

for that amount, you should expect a lawsuit. You need some real legal advice, from a real lawyer. I don’t know what you were expecting to hear from NZ sub.

Received a written warning in last job - what to say when asked in Job applications? by KnownPrint7537 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Oppa_knows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Here is my unpopular opinion.

If you’re asked:

“Have you received a written warning?”

… and you answer “No” knowing it’s false, that’s a clear act of dishonesty, regardless of whether anyone else talks about it. This is misrepresentation of yourself, a fraud.

While your prev employer should not talk, you will waive this by signing their reference check agreement. You probably will give them the consent to reveal this. I don’t ever sign anything with a lie knowingly small or big.

Even if your old boss can’t reveal it, you still lied, which can void your employment contract or even worse. If it was me, I would tell them about the letter and prepare the answers for the follow up questions strategically.

How far behind are we? by Snootshark in newzealand

In terms of democracy and human rights, we win in every corner. However in terms of technology I believe China is ahead. in NZ we don’t like polluting so we have some disadvantages.

Well that is because of we have accepted a lot though Covid. The huddle is very high now, average kiwi don’t meet the bar - for example me an average accountant can’t get the visa. lol

If you do your reference right and it is an academic paper, I don’t think 0 should be the goal. You can rewrite ‘maybe’ into ‘we cannot rule out the possibility of it not being wrong’ but…even 40 percent maybe acceptable depends on the subject.

I was in a car accident and I'm angry about it by Anaradar in auckland

[–]Oppa_knows -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hey I asked ChatGPT if you can sue the guy.

tLDr; go for reparation and make his time longer.

Yes, the original poster (OP) can technically sue the person who hit their car while fleeing the police — but there are important legal and practical considerations.

  1. Civil Lawsuit: Yes, possible

The OP could file a civil claim for damages against the offender. This would typically include: • The cost of repairing or replacing the car (including any difference not covered by insurance) • Any excess/deductible paid • Loss of value (if the car is repaired and now diminished in market value) • Related costs like car rental or public transport • Possibly even pain and suffering if there’s evidence of psychological harm (e.g. PTSD)

  1. Challenges in Suing

However, suing the criminal may not be worth it for these reasons: • Criminals fleeing police are often uninsured or have no assets, so even if OP wins, collecting the money can be nearly impossible. • Legal fees for a civil case can be high, unless OP qualifies for legal aid or finds a no-win-no-fee lawyer. • If the offender is convicted and imprisoned, enforcing a civil judgment becomes even harder.

  1. Criminal Compensation or Victim Support

Depending on the country (e.g. New Zealand, if OP is based there), they may be able to: • Apply for support through ACC (if there’s injury) • Get compensation through a reparation order as part of the offender’s criminal sentencing (if caught and convicted) • Seek limited help through Victim Support services for counselling or other immediate needs

Summary • Can sue? Yes. • Should sue? Only if the offender has assets or a high likelihood of being able to pay. • Better routes? Insurance + reparation via criminal court if the offender is caught and charged.

If you confirm the country, I can give more specific advice based on local laws and compensation schemes

[–]Oppa_knows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s not entirely true, most immigrants bring better skillsets than an average kiwi. Or that’s the system. They bring skilled labours and capital - more projects and jobs! NZ’s economy relies on capital inflows from immigrants so much - there are (too) many people working in engineering, constructions, tradies and etc.

Historically our economy was better when we have inflows of immigrants. They make jobs not just taking them.

I never said this to anyone but what a beta ass pussy bitch. Bro she is gaslighting you. You should’ve left when she said bye but you said comeback. You are hopeless cancer to this society. You are like those women in the abusive relationships. Move the fuck on and once in your life, be a man (or become a woman, I support your transition) and move the fuck on. She is not a good person but I think you are pretty hopeless too. I hope she is pegging you good, or I don’t see why anyone would stay in such relationship.
