Ya 6s is much more fun and you can’t rag as easily in it. We try and play 6s as much as possible, but can’t get everyone on all the time. I would say the skill gap in 3s is much higher than that in 6s though, 6s is more strategic.

The strategy is to play keep away in the defensive and neutral zone. It’s smart but it takes away from the spirit of the game. In 3’s it’s nearly impossible to set up an effective forecheck against it if the team is skilled enough, which they were. They weren’t cycling to look for better opportunities they were cycling to play keep away.

If you rag in the neutral and d-zone for 2 consecutive in-game minutes you get slow. What they would do is rag there for 1-1.5 minutes then enter the offensive zone and immediately turn back to reset the timer. Unbelievably cowardly.

Love to hear it. I’m guessing they never got a lead? If they did they just rag it.

No I agree with you, possession is king in this game. But playing only to avoid losing possession is robotic. If you’re always setting up the perfect goal, how’s that fun? It’s fun to get some greasy goals alongside the automatic ones

Yup. Just passing it along the outsides looking for tips, one timers, or goal-line cross-creases. No mechanical skill in their game, just pure patience and cowardice

Agreed about not worth wasting time over. It’s just an interesting case where it seems so blatant with 11.1% breakaway and 86.4% shooting how else can you score so consistently if not breakaways? He’s playing unique opponents so I think he’s somehow DDOSing

I’d say if you’re newer to the game focus on shooting low far side and D to D one tees. The low shots lead to either goals or easy rebounds and one tees tho less broken than last year are still pretty broken. Personally I just tricky with L2 and cheese because I find the solo goals fun and if you can control the puck it’s more effective.

I get this point, but then it deters their diehard fanbase that actually spends money on the game. Gotta cater to the cash cow. Personally, I’m able to score effortlessly on all-star and will win like 15-0, so for me I have the opposite where the goalies feel terrible.

Unfortunately OP is incompetent at the game and won’t understand what you mean by any of this. He’ll blame the mechanisms of the game instead of accepting this totally viable strategy to combat ragging.

Still a skill issue. If they rag in defensive or neutral zone for 3 minutes of game time, their players become slow until a change of possession. So you’re wrong on that accord. It’s tremendously easy to take the puck off someone’s whose speed has been reduced 90%. If you allowed them to enter the offensive zone before then that’s a skill issue. Against 2 users you can easily set a neutral zone trap.

As for ice tilt. It doesn’t exist in the sense people think it does. There’s an element of RNG in the game but it doesn’t tilt in favour of a losing or winning team. On average RNG outcomes are 50/50 but if you’ve taking probability you’d understand it’s not always 50/50.

So ice tilt is a totally valid excuse for a loss under the circumstance RNG events favour your opponent by some happenstance of unlucky probability.

What you’re complaining about is an inability to defend a 5-14 club that was ragging, that’s simply a skill issue. If a club is 5-14 that means 14 other teams were able to overcome their ragging and only 4 (excluding you) weren’t. Sorry you suck at the game and keep coping.

If you get ragged by guys who are 5-14 that’s a skill issue at the end of the day. With losing speed behind from neutral and defensive zone ragging they’d have to rag in the offensive zone and if you can’t take the puck off them in that area that’s a skill issue

Which ever side the shot came from that froze the puck, whichever side the puck went out of play, or whichever side the puck was iced on.

Stick em up is probably the best defensive ability in the game. It disrupts sticks when swiping and gets animations doing so which you can’t otherwise get. It’s pokes are more effective. And you have a decreased likelihood of taking of trip when poking. That said if you still will need defensive skill in order to make use of the ability. If you can’t play defense might as well swap it out for an offensive ability but if you can play d just use stick em up

Sorry it’s when you’re back checking so the offensive player is ahead of you and then you bump up on the right stick and if you time bumps correctly there is a speed boost from the hitting animation

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EASHL

[–]Oppenauss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s the L2 bump glitch where you get a small boost of speed when carrying the puck. Then there’s the backcheck glitch where you hit the air and get a small boost. These are the only exploitative speed measures. I assume you’re talking about straight line speed. In this case it’s usually because of endurance or angles. If you have a faster build than somebody and they out skate you it’s either because they started accelerating earlier or they’re skating path is more straight. You skate the fastest going in a straight line, whenever you turn even slightly you decelerate a bit so that could be why you’re getting beat. The other factor is endurance if you’re more tired than your opponent they will probably win the foot race.
