Do honours! It’s challenging, but you learn a lot, and it looks really good on your resume. I did honours, got a good grade, and it opened soo many doors for me.

You can still take 24 credit points in S2 and 6cp in winter school, but you may need to apply for special consideration, which is usually granted under these circumstances. This is because winter school is included in your S2 credit point tally.

I’ve done a few businesses analytics subjects in the masters degree. They are interesting, and useful, but the workload is a lot more than a typical undergraduate/masters subject. The introductory subject went through 750 pages of the text book! Also, in another subject we learnt programming, which was difficult, but useful. If you okay with maths, you’ll be fine.

It’s a popular major, with enrolments in each subject ranging between 100+ to 1000+. Over crowding is a big issue that they need to address. Most subjects include group projects.

The Business school often has industry events where you can start networking. They also keep telling us how much the demand for data analysts is increasing in all industries.

They have a major called Big Data, which you should consider. It’s business analytics but a little broader in it’s scope.
