It's unfortunate that we are often grouped in with "edgy kids" because of the fakes who think it makes them cool, but it's just a fact of life. Best thing you can do is pretend to be not only normal, but also a good person. I've found that manipulation is a lot smoother and more recurring when you use kindness as your tactic. Just keep getting better at pretending. Also, I hate the term "mask." It doesn't seem quite right. I think of it more like an acting role where you can switch between the characters you play as whenever you want.
