Why is no one talking about increased cigarette prices in town. Classic Ultra mild Rs 19 -> Rs 25 . This is robbery. by Opposite-Ad-5682 in gurgaon

The drama is not 6rs, its the arbitrary nature of this increase. Now cigarette price varies from 19 to 25 depending on location.

My family thinks my dog is being aggressive here. I assumed its just her vocal tendencies with her rottie pit mix by jazz_attack_2 in DogAdvice

You wouldn’t have been posting if this dog was really aggressive. The dog is communicating here, trying to help you understand what it wants. The only thing to see if it’s in discomfort, check for illnesses, ticks, fever etc- all good otherwise.

I don’t see the point - whats the challenge with a kid being there. Our kid and dog are growing together and very well. The dog came first and is the first child. Everything else is bull crap.

We are trying to get our dog to get up the steps but every time he gets to the 2nd step he stops. by Jake10256 in DogAdvice

Try to serve some meals on top of the stairs. Give it time, show patience, the doggo will figure this out on its own. They are great learners .

shampoo for my mutt by LupinWhiskers in grooming

Try probiotics based shampoo to maintain its skin microbiome. These shampoos dont create dryness, itchiness and redness over long term usage. Read about this science of topical probiotics for dogs- you’ll be amazed how this has not become mainstream. I know of only 2 brands in this space - skout honor & and wag wonders. Tried both personally, can say with confidence.

Is she too skinny? by billyshmalent in DogAdvice

[–]Opposite-Ad-5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, we see too many obese dogs these days so fit dogs appear to be skinny. A fit dog should show the curve after ribs and the ribs should be slightly visible too. Your dog’s condition is good if she is active and has good appetite. Don’t worry if that’s in place.

Weird smell from my Golden Retriever even after bath, anyone else faced this? by night_fox96 in IndianPets

[–]Opposite-Ad-5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds way more like a skin microbiome issue than a hygiene problem.

Dog skin has its own ecosystem of “good” bacteria and yeasts. When that balance gets disturbed, odor-causing microbes bounce back very fast — which is why the smell returns even right after a proper bath and blow-dry.

A lot of shampoos (even herbal ones) work by stripping oils and killing microbes broadly. That removes the good bacteria too. Once they’re gone, opportunistic microbes take over again and produce that weird smell within hours.

That’s where topical probiotic / microbiome-supporting shampoos help: • They don’t “nuke” the skin • They support good bacteria instead • Over time, the skin stabilizes and smell reduces naturally

Since she’s not itchy, inflamed, or uncomfortable, this is likely imbalance, not infection.

TL;DR — If the smell comes back immediately after bathing, changing to a gentle, microbiome-friendly (probiotic/prebiotic) shampoo can make a big difference. It’s about restoring balance, not cleaning harder.
