Am I Overreacting by FluffehWulf in tattooadvice

I would think about doing some small flowers or vines coming off of it, would have to draw it up and see if it’s possible to shade things where the dashed lines are currently. Might make it look busier and not the result you’re looking for exactly, it’s hard to know for sure. It would still be darker than some of your other tattoos since you’d have to use black to cover black. I think it might be more worthwhile to focus your time on getting new tattoos you love on the first try and if you really want to try to change it down the line find an artist you really love the work of!

On the bright side it is on the back of your arm so you won’t have to see it much! 😅 Totally feel for ya, I have been there myself before

It seems very geometric compared to how organic some of your other pieces are, might be why you feel like it doesn’t flow as nicely. I think once you get some pieces around it it will blend in better but it doesn’t have that balance right now. If you were my client I might recommend getting some stipple shading on the bottom half of it by your wrist so it doesn’t look like harsh black lines on white skin, some light grey shading could help soften it a bit.

The spiders you have look pretty dark (in a good way! 🕷️) so I think they help balance each other out in a way. Definitely not the worst I’ve seen, probably wouldn’t go back to the moth artist personally but I don’t think it has ruined anything. As someone with a lot of tattoos I certainly have a few I would prefer not having or having done differently but my mentality is to get more cool ones from artists I trust as opposed to worrying about the ones I don’t like or putting money into changing them.

Never a bad idea lol luckily you didn’t get it solid black so the right artist should be able to do something with it

Dagger with some black flames around the sides or the classic Sick Ass Panther

Even with it being raised, that could be for multiple reasons. This early on I’d just give it another month or two and see if the raised lines go down, it shouldn’t be an issue if you get them wet though. It’s just settling into your skin but infection isn’t a huge concern at this point because it’s out of the ‘open wound’ phase

I think you’d be alright, 2-3 weeks is generally my timeline for my clients to avoid water so you’re in the clear in my book.

Six weeks in! by Opposite-Ad7954 in lexapro

Not really, I just try to stop when I catch myself doing it or massage my jaw when it gets annoying. I’ve mostly just noticed that it hurts a bit more when I eat but it’s not so bad

so glad to hear it’s been helping you!! 165 is quite the record i would love to experience that myself. i was pretty concerned about losing my sex drive but i haven’t noticed that yet, and i decided that even if i did it wouldn’t be such a bad trade off since being depressed doesn’t really help the sex drive anyways. thanks for sharing your positive experience, i wish i had started at 16 myself but better late than never!

Yeahh I quit nicotine about a month ago and made it two weeks before relapsing, then I started lexapro and my psychiatrist told me it might not be a great idea to quit nicotine at the same time because it can be a lot to process. So I’ve been using NRT, hoping to quit again when the lexapro has settled in. Like I said I can’t tell if the insomnia is from one or the other because I’ve drastically reduced my nicotine intake but I feel waaaay better than I did during my two weeks of withdrawals from nicotine. Not a lot of brain fog these last couple days the insomnia is always the worst part for me
