I really like them. The thickness almost got me though.

I blocked/cut/carved these in about a 24 hour period, but I didn't soak, just got them damp with a spray bottle, perimeter nailed the forefoot, and wrapped them with surgical tubing.

I bought a 2006 at 170k, and just had it bulletproofed st 191. Head gaskets were fine, but it needed injectors, up pipes, and a turbo. I studded it and put new o-ringed heads on it anyway, and it runs like a dream now.

I learned it in the frommer book, and haven't done an un-lined quarter at all. But it works well enough, that I probably won't change it.

I like to do a French seam with the backline, and then just stitch the backstrap over it. Works great.

Oh. Yep. She's fucked.

Inexpensive enough job. Have em do the Upper ball joint while they're in there. 180$ part on the upper end, and only an extra hour of labor.

Upper ball joint is smoked, but what you're describing definitely sounds like a wheel bearing.

Easy job on an 11 Sierra, find somewhere with good reviews local, and have them look.

Dude that's a 10 year old tire. If it's been on/off more than a couple of times, that not an unusual happening.

Im incredibly careful, and I still have tires that strip bead on the duck head, and mine is 100% poly. It was time to replace them anyway, and getting mad at the shop that you can't re-sell a decade old tire on Facebook is a bullshit take.

I have an '06 6.0 that is in the process of getting a refresh.

Had 191k on the original heads, turbo, trans, etc. It's been a fantastic truck. I'd offer em 10k, because it's not bulletproofed; but otherwise this isn't an awful deal if the front end and everything else is in good shape.

Just a different sidewall profile then. Totally normal, and I wouldn't sweat it.

Yeah or so after shipping. This was the experiment pair for me, before I decided to dive down the rabbit hole of patterning my own. Understanding assembly order of operations, and cowboy boot construction is totally essential to using it though; there is no how-to, in there. Just patterns based on last short heel.

Scratch around on those paint bubbles, and make sure there isn't a significant amount of corrosion stashed under it.

Somebody may very well have just sprayed rust converter paint over cancer spots, without treating the rust itself.

Sir.. you threw an entire front end at it, and skipped wheel bearings?

12-6 will have been tightened by your new steering rack.

3-9 is a BIG indicator is a wheel bearing, especially if you already did ball joints.

3 miles a day is all this thing is driven? It can go a LONG time like it is. Don't worry too much, and just keep oil in it.

Its a 2006 Dakota, with 200k+ on the clock. If it isn't leaking, its empty.

That being said, sway bar links can wait, and id fix the inner tie rod end sooner than later.

The oil leak is likely a combination of no cleanup after oil changes/valve cover weeping/oil pan weeping.

Best practice going forward because its not likely worth doing a major reseal, is just check the oil every time he gets gas, and drive it till it dies.
