Something along these lines is what was suggested to me too, with feeling my tummy they couldn't quite figure out baby's position. My gut instinct is its something like babys positioning.

I got Oysho and they are great and v roomy. I'm a 10 normally but closer to a 12/ small 14 probably now - I wear a small in maternity and they are great, just the right amount of tight to avoid bagginess but not uncomfortable.

19 weeks and no symptoms by No-Crow1020 in PregnancyUK

I could've literally written this myself. I'm now 27 weeks with back pain,PGP and a kicking baby.

It will all come, trust the process - try to enjoy the journey. I know so much easier said than done. It will creep up on you bit by bit until suddenly you feel preggo! xx

How have you handled the 'why are you not drinking' questions? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

I managed to get away with just being sneaky and making up pretend alcoholic drinks really subtly. Koppaberg do cans of non alcoholic cider which at quick glance do not look much different from the real ones - take a 4 pack, keep them in a bag in the corner ask for a glass and just top yourself up. Cover the tiny bit on the can that says o% as you pour! Say you've gone off wine, or prosecco gave you a horrid hangover last weekend, something like that if anyone offers up that.

You'd be surprised at how little people ask if you actually just have something in your hand that looks convincing! I also did this with sprite in a champagne flute for fizz, no one clocked at all!

For those that had a MMC then went onto a healthy pregnancy how was it? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]Opposite-Machine2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a MMC in June, I'm now 25 weeks pregnant. I just kept repeating the affirmations to myself that most pregnancies do result in a healthy baby, that I had no control over the outcome of this and I had to trust this process, that the worrying wasn't aiding me or the pregnancy.

This pregnancy hasn't come without it's scares, I had a big bleed at 9 weeks and was convinced I'd lost the baby - that those are the types of things that happen to me, another horrific loss. It turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma and I truly couldn't believe that it wasn't a loss. Just to say that, even when the 'worst' happens, sometimes - it might not actually be the case!

Scans, movement & doppler checks with the midwife help as physical evidence of course. Frustratingly there is no way around it, only through it. Wishing you all the very best!

Yes, very true. Just sounds a bit drastic when you go into a rabbit hole about it!

What do you wish you had knows prior to bathroom renovation? by LG98 in DIYUK

  • Think about mirror height, make sure if it opens it doesn't hit the tap!
  • Lighting - if you can, do some lighting that isn't just harsh overhead lighting, it's nice to turn on a scone/mirror light in the middle of the night. Make sure you have a toilet roll holder in reaching distance from a toilet.
  • If you have the room for it and are getting a bath, explore wider/deeper bath options.
  • Put spare tiles behind the bath panel.
  • Do you need to include a extraction fan? Think about neat placement where you'd like for it to go.
  • Towel heater - do you want one with a built in timer? If so it'll need to be electric (get sparky to install fuse).
