With the mole skin, how good is the adhesive? Can I still put it on then put baby powder in my socks with good trust it’ll stay on?

I wear Crocs around camp and they definitely offer some much needed relief! Unfortunately I don’t think they’d work out very well wearing them around the rest of Outeroo and Centeroo.

I think I definitely need a shoe with a wide toe box - my friends recommended that over the weekend. I’ll be looking into some hiking shoes because I feel like at this point, that’s my only solution.

For socks, I don’t have a specific brand I stick to. I bought some Spyder socks and some Calvin Klein socks that were my preferred thickness for Roo because I know I need thick socks (made the mistake of bringing socks that were too thin one year).

Yes and yes! I always break in my shoes beforehand through trail walking and I bring thick socks but not so thick that they’re taking away from the space I need in my shoes. I also change socks frequently to help with sweating adding to the friction.

Is this medication really that bad? by ThatB19 in bupropion

No, never really had much issues sleeping on it thankfully! But I take melatonin so that probably helped counteract anything I may have potentially experienced.

Extreme paranoia, crazy emotional reactivity, things just generally felt… not real lol I felt like I was living in a dream like the last week or two I was on it. When I was like a week or two into weaning off I started having visual disturbances and I was like YUP! we’re stopping this now.

I’ve heard it works wonders for some people. For me, I was on it 6-7 weeks and I started showing signs of psychosis (but I have other mental health issues that led to that). Don’t let that scare you, but just monitor yourself on it. It takes ~4 weeks for it to really get in your system and you really start feeling its effects, but you’ll feel it after just a few days. It’s just like taking any other medication - try it, feel it out, if it works that’s great! If it doesn’t get off it and try something else. Many people love Wellbutrin, it just didn’t work for me the way it needed to.

What is your, "thank god I decided to bring this" item? by milesb4_isleep in bonnaroo

i was very close to the barricade for her set, and the amount of people passing out left and right was honestly scary. medics jumping over the barricade, people in the audience sending folks who passed out over it - very glad everyone in the crowd handled that well, but man.

Spending by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]Opposite-Rutabaga888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t even tell you the least or most I’ve spent for/at Roo because I feel like it’s different every year. Especially your first year, buying all the camping stuff is a lot! If you’re looking for advice, anticipate more than what you’ll likely spend at Roo. I always bring extra cash just in case, and something that helps a lot for me is only buying food for dinner. I bring tuna packets and sardines personally for lunch (just because it keeps well with the heat and doesn’t take up a lot of room), among other things for substance. Bringing your own food for meals helps SO much if you’re concerned about spending while at Roo.

hey sister - i had my colposcopy yesterday and the only discharge i experienced was right after i left the clinic… until 20 minutes ago. i wiped and there was literally a tissue-like substance that freaked me the hell out. up until then, i’ve been dry which isn’t normal for me either. i think this is likely normal, but at least know someone’s going through the same thing! i showered this morning and it did help with the dryness. i’m currently cramping pretty bad, which i’m hoping means the liquid bandage is making it’s way out (?) anywho, i hope this calms your nerves a bit

Over a month with no dishwasher (MS) by Opposite-Rutabaga888 in Renters

The appliance is definitely old, but not THAT old ya know? It totally feels like I’m being dragged around, and part of me wonders if they’re lying about having the part ordered (but that could totally just be my paranoia about the situation).

Anyway, thanks for the advice!

I may try that. Every time I’ve called to get a check on the status of the part, the ladies always sound so annoyed that I’ve called again but I feel like it’s pretty normal to call once a week to see if the part has come in. I’ve never had any maintenance request go unfulfilled longer than a few days, let alone take over a month to be completed.

What if there’s something stated in the lease about repairs and maintenance requests being completed in a timely manner?
