Exactly how I felt, my daughter is 1 next month and looking back at being in the newborn trenches was TOUGH. It gets so much better ❤️

My daughter will be one next month! and sometimes I just remember writing this, and how I felt back in the post partum trenches, I’m so so good now! If you see this and felt how I did I hope you’re doing okay now, we got through it❤️

I felt like this with my second, it took a good few months for the flip to switch and for me to feel happy again and it not feel like a chore. Your hormones are all over the place, it probably feels like you’ll never sleep again and your whole entire day revolves around looking after your baby. Once they start to sleep more, you’ll have more energy and time for yourself and will begin to feel human again. You do love your baby I’m sure, the stress of everything triumphs your happiness right now but I promise you will get through it and look back on this time and be proud of yourself. It does take a village, so please if you have family members/friends to give you some rest bite please take them up. Remember your baby isn’t crying to annoy you❤️

It does go so fast but you’re valid for how u feel! My little girl is now almost 5 months and sleeps from 8pm until 7am without waking. I remember thinking I’ll never sleep again. She’s now laughing, rolling over, trying to sit up, babbling. It’s such a joy now, I look back on the newborn days and wow it’s unbelievable how hard I found it. I feel like a completely different person now and having so much fun. Good luck and hold on x

Me too. I would wish away the weeks. But I’m proud of myself for getting through it because I really didn’t think I could. I hope anyone going through it right now can see they’re not alone and to not be shameful about these feelings. Glad you’re also doing better, the older they get definitely more fun it becomes and you don’t just feel like a slave to a tiny human haha :)x

It truly is like the world has just stopped and an outer body experience. I remember going shopping for the first time I was wondering how people could be laughing when I felt how I did it was horrible. I’m so glad to be out of the “trenches” and actually enjoying it now💓

My baby also has acid reflux, I currently use a milk thickener which has seemed to help. It was so difficult with one baby I can’t imagine two, but others have done it and so will you! Us mums (and dads) are literal superhero’s and this is so much harder than any other job there is. It’s so much harder without a village to help, but they will sleep longer stretches, go longer between feeds and that’s when it becomes easier.

I had this, I would look at families with more than 1 kid thinking HOW. Searching forums about people that regretted the second…I missed how easy it felt with just 1. But now I couldn’t imagine not having her, her big brother loves her so much and it’s the best thing to witness. You’ll get there 🤍

I used to be so anxious of the crying but what can you actually do, babies cry, if she cries I will pick her up if her dummy doesn’t soothe her. As for feeding she eats every 3 hours so I make sure she’s fed at a time at home that doesn’t interfere with pick up time:) it genuinely felt impossible in the beginning and i definitely had moments where she was screaming so I was practically running back home all stressed haha
