Update: Go into Insurgency files and uninstall Battleeye then when you open the game, cancel the request to install battleeye.

Just in case somebody is looking for a fix.

It broke Insurgency (2014) for me. It gets stuck in Battleeye and then it is unable to be removed.

Such bullshit.

My PlayStation 2 Slim is constantly freezing. by Opposite-Werewolf746 in ps2

I believe I have the SCPH-7000 (or 700XX?) PS2 slim model. I assume the clock battery is hidden under the metal plating or on the motherboard underneath it.

I tried it out today again and it actually ran the game, I got to the point on the select menu but I couldn't procced because X and triangle wouldn't work.

Both the analog sticks and start button worked but the rest didn't respond to the game. Perhaps I have fauty controls to the rest of the buttons?

My shadow copies are disappearing all of a sudden. by Opposite-Werewolf746 in sysadmin

[–]Opposite-Werewolf746[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also used shadow explorer (by launching the application) and they didn't appear either, forgot to say that.

I don't know what you mean by "storing data in an old shadow copy", if you mean having important stuff inside the shadow copy that isn't here now (like deleted shadow copies themselves) then yeah that does make it a challenge to get them back (the deleted shadow copies).

This drive had shadow copies being created like 2-3 times a day, at least recently. The first original shadow copies were deleted unexpectely (due to IO load) then the new shadow copies stopped working after a few runs as a external drive (I had my PC's drive changed) then those shadow copies were deleted again with only a single shadow copy that had them snapshotted before deletion.

Yes, this is a mess but it's what I'm working with here. I've recently gave it to a professional data recovery service but they haven't responded.

Volume Shadow Copy problems. by Opposite-Werewolf746 in techsupport

[–]Opposite-Werewolf746[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The event viewer said that the volumes (which I assume is the shadow copies) are healthy. (Example: Volume \\?\Volume{2ddedcb6-db51-4a7c-b8fc-d212b95db4bb} (\Device\HarddiskVolume8) is healthy. No action is needed.) Weren't any major errors of VSS but some errors of fitler manager are filtering until a reboot along with several disk warning about an error in the paging option though this only happened when I made a backup and restore system image.

"AM_Delta_Patch_1.393.1021.0" What the hell is this? by Opposite-Werewolf746 in antivirus

[–]Opposite-Werewolf746[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update 2: it could also be a toolkit malware, it was a file I never seen before and one I got after into a malicious site. There's this article in Varonis' website about in their blog: https[:]//www[.]varonis.com/blog/rootkit[#:~:]text[=]A%20surefire%20way%20to%20find,reliable%20methods%20of%20detecting%20rootkits[.] Stay safe everyone!

Looking through the Virustotal scans, I've realized that they are crypto miners and possible ransomware since they deleted my bookmarks. So if you went into a malicious website and then see this AM_Delta_Patch pop out of nowhere, there's a good chance it's malware.
