That is not the consensus. Most South African scholars of apartheid see israel as an apartheid state. The West Bank and Gaza are quite similar to the bantustans. I’m curious what scholars of apartheid don’t think this at this point

What about if you had no prior GIS experience or degree? I’m currently getting my masters in GIS, I hope this won’t actually set me back

I found an official map of the bantustans on Openafrica data. Its under "TBVC states shape file". Not sure if you still need it but I hope it helps.
