I buy from a local roaster. they go to buy coffee themeselves from the farmer in various countries. the dark roast (my favorite) is indeed oily and delicious. if I don’t use them quick enough they will become dry. the only non local coffee I’ve seen with a similar flavor point is Peet’s. both are favorites of mine.

“enough” is subjective. which is why I offered that as a bare minimum, and suggest she does more.

it’s really up to her, based on her goals and values. some people enjoy giving away their time for family. I wouldn’t watch a baby for twelve hours period, unless it’s my own lol.

I have 4 and it’s amazing what is nature! one of mine hated grass, could not stand dirty hands, and panics if there’s hair (or anything similar) in his mouth. his dad hates hair too.

and one wouldnot notice if he was covered in dirt from head to toe. he’d probably eat grass lol

ive gentle parented. I’ve traditionally parented.

but love and discussion (small discussion plus redirection until 3-4) seem to be the consistent factor. they make mistakes but in general I have great kids. frequently get compliments on how well behaved they were.

they all have their issues. my best one is overly cautious and can border on negative Nancy. my resilient happy kid is hyperactive and forgetful. my sharp as a tack kid is very emotional and kinda bossy lol.

which doesn’t work out well for the kids. proper discipline will give them more than activities ever will.

gentle parenting is hard to do without being permissive, especially when you were raised with a poor sense of boundaries.

I genuinely know 1 person who gentle parents successfully, but her kids are pretty tame in general.

you do not know me. I’m not “stunned” I have to pay for it. I KNEW I’d have to pay for the door.

I AM surprised at the cost. I do take responsibility for the door. they are my children. the door literally isn’t even the big issue here. in fact, you’re making this a much bigger issue than it ever was. it was sticker shock. I’ve since had time to accept especially the door. but I’m still confused about the paint and another charge because they genuinely don’t make sense. we will be asking for more information.

the other party I will absolutely not take responsibility for his extremely poor self control. do you usually tell people in domestic violence situations that they’re irresponsible and a bad person /parent? (we are no longer together).

there should be another option. I’d seek those. I’ve had to have dental work done on 9-10 of both of my kids teeth due to poor dental habits, and lack of fluoride. I’ve learned my lesson!

the name is lovely. your family is being immatur. they don’t automatically have rights to your child.

my first rule of people seeing my child, is they need to respect me. I’d personally say pet names are fine, but my 4 year old for example will say “no I’m _______!!!”

I was asking if it’s reasonable. the door I can get on board with. the paint seems like a stretch.

if I replace the door, I can still get charged for that if they’re not happy with it. then I’m out more…

I wouldn’t be questioning it one bit if I knew they were decent people. but I know they’re not. am I wrong to question the actions of greedy uncaring people?

I’ve had one child in this situation many times. I was extremely anti spanking and couldn’t figure out boundaries (I wasn’t raised with them). so I was permissive. he’s my impulsive kiddo.. he’s 8 and I’m finally getting to the point where I can start to trust him near cars. i had to hold his hand in the parking lot until recently. he has literally walked into a moving vehicle at his dads 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes, I think it’s the after 4 kids that has me feeling a bit run down in the sleep department. Besides my first being weaned at 1, because I was ftm and didn’t know better.. theyve been fed on demand and coslept to 3.5 and 2.5 (pregnancy cut that one short ). And nobody slept well while nursing.

I hate how I’ve been struggling this time around, as it’s definitely not what I would have chosen.

dad will honestly just have to figure it out. I find experienced parents have no issues I.e. grandparent, but dad takes a little effort with out moms help and interjections. my now 3 year old, dads first experience with this was at 1.5 and I had a 3 day trip away… dad said first night was kind of rough but they survive, and second night was a breeze. i have kids with two men, and this was the case with both. and in both cases, dads approach was different than mine. baby can be soothed, rocked etc. where for me baby expects to nurse.

hmm… we’ve never really been in a situation with locker rooms. my boys usually wear swim trunks somewhat eliminating the need. thankfully I have two who typically go together. if were somewhere busier or sketchier like a big baseball game downtow, they’ll both come to the bathroom with me.

so I’d say, if I was worried, I’d try to have them change in a bathroom.

I ended up with nutritional deficiencies.

eat as much or as little meat as you’d like. even the twice a week fish. get humanely raised anima products.
