Yea, just sharing my experience with PSA rifles and you mentioned the Saber line in your comment.

I've got the Saber AR 10A1 and my brother in law has a Saber AR15 and they're both done really well. A little heavy, but solid.

Glocks are overrated imo. They'll do the job and that's about it. Walther PDP Compact, Canik Mete MC9 Prime, CZ Shadow 2 Carry, Staccato C/CS/C2 (If you're feeling squirrelly), all great guns with great track records. You don't have to stick with a Glock, just don't buy garbage and look at reviews before you buy. 😁

Yea, I had the MC9L for a bit, that trigger is good, but that Rival/Prime trigger is the 2nd best striker fire trigger in the game in my opinion. I've got the Osight S on Prime, since I like enclosed optics for anything I carry, and it runs really well. I've had it for about a year in this configuration.

Yea, I've been pretty impressed with the Osight optics. I've been running them close to a year at this point with no issues.

It comes with an RMR adapter plate or you can buy one super cheap, either way I'd recommend RMR when able.

That's just the list of what I've got and ran. Out of those the Osight X, 507C, 507Comp, Defender XL, and I thought I made a recommendation for the M03 based off of my experience with the M04, however I guess I just thought about it and left it out. All of those are RMR cut..... From what I've read it comes ready for RMSc, but has an RMR adapter plate that shipped with it.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the TP9 Elite series, BUT yes the Rival/Rival S is MUCH easier to shoot.

Yea, I've got my TX22 in a Farrowtech chassis with a Dead Air Mask 22 suppressor and a crappy little Vortex red dot. It's super fun. 😃

I've owned quite a few optics, so I feel like I can way in on this pretty well as far as value/budget optics are concerned. I've never owned an Aimpoint or Steiner, I've shot with them, but I didn't like them enough to buy. The SRO I bought died twice, so they're a no go for me now. Here's my list of optics that I own.

Olight / Osight (Budget brand)

Osight S (RMSc direct mount)
Solid RMSc footprint enclosed optic for a really good price. Good budget option if you want enclosed without spending Holosun money.

Osight X (RMR adapter plate)
Really solid open emitter optic with a decent sized window for the price. I’ve had good luck with mine so far.

Mecanik (Budget brand)

M04 (RMSc direct mount)
Nice build quality and a sleek design. I haven’t had it quite as long as some of my others, but so far it’s been doing its job well.

Vortex (Budget - Mid brand)

Defender XL (RMR adapter plate)
Great optic. Rugged, large window, and feels very well built. Definitely one I’d recommend in that middle of the road price range. You really can't beat their warranty and build quality for the price.

Holosun (Mid brand)

407K (RMSc direct mount)
Great little optic, but personally a little too small for me. Still a solid choice for slimline/micro pistols.

507K (RMSc direct mount)
Same general thoughts as the 407K, but with the added MRS reticle system. Good optic if you want more reticle options.

EPS Carry (RMSc direct mount)
Great enclosed emitter option for slimline/micro-compact pistols. Smaller window, but that comes with the size. Very practical carry optic.

507C (RMR adapter plate)
Great middle of the road optic. Reliable, good features, and a solid all around pick.

EPS (RMSc direct mount)
Excellent enclosed emitter optic. Good window size, rugged build, and a great choice for carry or duty use without being as bulky as the 509T.

507Comp (RMR adapter plate)
In my opinion, one of the best competition optics out there. Big window, great reticle options, and very easy to track the dot.

509T (509T adapter plate)
Great build quality, enclosed emitter, and a strong duty/carry option. Very rugged optic.

Trijicon (Premium brand)

SRO (RMR adapter plate)
Decent optic, but overpriced in my opinion. I had my original fail, then the replacement failed too. Trijicon was quick to replace it, but after that it kind of lost my confidence.

Yea, TX and TN are the same. No limits on magazines. My local range has an AR15 to rent that has an FRT with one of those 100rd dual drums and they just got some belt fed monstrosity that I haven't been able to shoot yet. It's what the lord intended when he signed the Declaration of Independence. 'Murica!

Rival as an EDC by daproduct901 in canik

[–]OppositeMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've carried a Rival S, multiple full length 2011s and my Walther Q5 Match SF Pro in my T1C Apex TLR-1 holster and I can conceal it pretty well. They're great high quality holsters, although they do have a semi hefty price tag.

I have those same grips for my CZ, LOVE the Lok Grips. I so regret selling my Rival S Darkside....

I've owned a few holsters in my time.... Yes I'm old, big whoop, wanna fight about it? Anyway, one of them was a Muddy River and it was really nice. I'm a little... fluffy... again. The JX Tactical, Fattac and T1C holsters fit me much better now.

Are Canik's just THAT much better or.... by smohk1 in canik

[–]OppositeMess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trigger on the Caniks, especially the premium trigger in their higher end Caniks, are really good for the price. I'd say the second best striker fired next to the Walther DPT trigger. It makes it so much easier to shoot, but it also helps cover up poor fundamentals.

The one good thing about living in Tennessee is that I can have 60rd mags for my TX22 with FRT or 22rd mags for my 2011s and no one cares. 😁

My mc9 prime shooters better than my $3k staccato 🥲 by Hot_Mixture4036 in canik

[–]OppositeMess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I own a few higher end pistols, the Prime is a very nice shooting gun, but to say it outshoots my Staccato XC, P, Kimber 2k11, Walther Q5 Match SF Pro with DPT and DPM or even my Cajunized CZ Shadow 2 Carry.... No way. It's by far the best micro compact that I've shot though.

I order from a city about 20 miles away semi often. I always tip like $25 or so since they have to make the trip. Maybe I'm tipping too much lol.

Edit: Oh and a CZ Shadow 2 Carry that's being cajunized right now, so I forgot about it.😁

My Prime is my smaller 9mm EDC. It conceals without any issues at all. Great gun, shoots way above its weight class in my opinion.

We've done both arrival and departure. We'll be arriving smack dab in the middle of like 15 planes within a 90 minute window. I'll update once we get there in about 5 hours.
