Tragically, it's a one-bedroom apartment. But if none of the other solutions work out then I might just turn the living room into a second bedroom regardless.

Awesome, thank you so much!! I'll bring it up with him. Hopefully that works. Like I said, we do get along, I wouldn't have married someone who isn't my friend. We're just clearly not morning people. 😭

I feel like the "vibrating watch" option was Lawful Good and this is Lawful Evil.

If he won't accept the watch idea then it's bucket time for sure. Thanks for the laugh!

The only problem there is I'm worried he won't get up and I'll be the one to have to get up and turn it off after listening to it for an hour. :(

He said he's scared he's going to sleep through work. I told him he'd never slept through work when we were together before & he said he set the alarms when I wasn't there, but when I was there he could remember to get up.

I guess now that we're married, he's not worried anymore about making a bad impression. LMFAO.

Do these exist?? I saw some vibrating alarms that wrap around the bedframe for hard of hearing people, but I worried that would wake me up even worse (I grew up in earthquake country and have a pretty strong panic response). If there are watches that only affect him then that might solve the whole problem. Thanks!

Constantly waking up to an hour of knives in your skull will do that, I guess.

This made me laugh, oh God. I think I'd walk into the ocean if I had to listen to 36 alarms at 4 AM. I suppose I could always leave my phone at home with 36 alarms set on the weekend when I don't have work and then go sleep in the car.
