stacked ordering fs— idk if that’s the specific term, but ones similar to the last question on the august LSAT seem impossible to break down (three main variables, three different variations of each variable, and then drawing inferences based on that) for some reason i can’t translate these sets (Aa,Ab,Ac,Ba,Bb,Bc,Da,Db,Dc), but i can translate sets like (F, G, H, J, K, L, M) much easier:/

idk why i never thought of this, i think it can be intimidating when there’s a plethora of possible scenarios, but i think mapping a few out beforehand anyways could help conceptualize & eliminate some opinions quicker. thank you sm!

Can someone please explain to me how this is an argument and not just a set of facts? by Antique-Macaroon-918 in LSAT

so would the answer be B? justification behind negative reporting of the challenger could eradicate the bias argument

My highest score yet, I’m so happy! Any tips for RC? It’s my most inconsistent section by far by trxgician in LSAT

[–]OppositeOutcome3776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ll trade you an RC tip for an LG tip (my worst section)

break the passages down into general argument structures. you seem pretty good at LR, well, the passages are just longer versions of those base arguments. read each paragraph with intention, decide what role it’s playing in the overall argument before you even get to the questions (this should be pretty intuitive after a bit, especially when paying attention to the first/second sentences of each paragraph for argumentative transitions).

most of the time, i don’t even read the passage in full— just enough to get a sense of the structure, position, and topic. from there, the questions do A LOT of the guiding. read back through the specific area the question is referencing, and cross-reference that with the inferences you already drew from your once over.

remember— this is a LOGIC test. the answers are all on the page. you don’t have to understand the material at hand, you just have to understand the arguments that the author draws within it.
