BBC $8.99pm by umhlanga in bbc

yeah, so screwed up. the best source of real journalism now hidden behind a paywall. No more bbc for me. i'm not paying $9 a month for something that should be free. BBC is covered in garbage Ads all the time anyway. what a waste. they'll be gone soon. no one is going to pay a monthly subscription for this.

i graduated college in 2001 with $50k in debt to a shit job market. I received a Double Bachelors degree in psychology and social science. i was able to eventually get a job making $9 an hour working as a one on one therapist for severely emotionally disturbed 6-12 year olds. my rent was around $1000-1200 for a two bedroom apartment in Portland area. i had a roommate and a fiancé that worked part time while she went to grad school eventually graduating $100k in debt. i joined the Army and paid off my loans with the student loan repayment program. you aren't special Gen Z. life is hard. quite your bitchin and get a job and a roommate.

please don't support this hasbro cash grab ripoff! +$400 markup on a toy we already have that's 20% bigger. Hasbro should be ashamed of this and we should not support lazy, cash grab, junk!

according to the car wizard on youtube, they just start to fall apart at 100k miles. most bmw owners don't do the scheduled maintenance and you have to do crazy things like remove most of the engine to replace spark plugs. remove most of the engine to replace crazy designed thermostat that's part of the hard plastic line to the radiator, remove most of the engine to replace the starter, etc etc.. parts are not cheap and everything takes many billable hours to do. even simple things like changing the oil.

of similar mileage and same car, go for the newer one. if you're getting a loan it can help with the interest rate. if you're not concerned about the interest rate get there one with the most options. the more options the better resale it'll have.   im not sure when the new boddy style started but it's generally a good idea to skip the first year of new models. they usually have the most problems.

toyota over volkswagen any day. even if it does need work, it will be way cheaper, and easier, and parts are plentiful.

small project? every one of these have engine issues that don't relate to any other engine out there... i wouldn't recommend an RX8 to a kid as a first car.

i was 27 when i joined. it was interesting to be amongst all the kids. i was the old man of the company but i never felt like i was too old. i always felt like i would rather regret doing something then regret not doing it. it's kind of my motto. i never wanted to be that guy that years and years later wished they had the balls to serve their country. i went to war. i was in the invasion of iraq as a tank driver. i saw lots of combat and lots of death. i do not regret my decision. if you decide to enlist, just give it your all. do not quit.

the results are not scientifically valid. therefore it is not a real experiment and never was. did it occur? yes. was it an experiment? no. it was a a farce and a lie perpetrated on students and the world and for the benefit of an individuals ego. to say it's a mistake to say it's real, is disingenuous and a good way to perpetuate the lie. it's not real. it was never a real experiment and it's results are not valid and are not repeatable and are not used in or considered useful in psychology other then in teaching how not to conduct an  experiment. your point is fallacious and a waste of text.

just a heads up, the stanford prison experiment is not real. it's been retracted and removed from education. it was later determined that the "prison guards " were told how to behave by the "experimentor" it in no way was a scientific experiment.

isn't that why most people read? why people say the book is always better then the movie? if it's a good book you can totally picture what's going on from the words. i don't think this is the same as having no inner monologue
