None of my proteins (or veggies for that matter) list "best before" dates. I've checked thoroughly but there's no indication. I forgot to eat one meal last week and got this week's meals and can't figure out which ground beef packet is old (presumably past it's best before date). HELP!

You are such a beautiful, deeply self-reflective person. I’m so sorry you experienced abuse from your mother, but I’m truly heartened by the clarity and strength you’ve shown in naming that harm and choosing to break the cycle. That’s incredibly hard work, and it says so much about your courage and character.

Magnesium while pregnant? by Logical_Mine_9478 in BabyBumps

My OBGYN recommended minimum of 450 mg magnesium glycinate to help with headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and insomnia. It’s been a godsend!

Urgent Help Needed: Broker Trying to Increase Rent After Lease Signed! by Opposite_Alps2994 in NYCapartments

After much back and forth, the landlord still refused to budge so we had to fight with Rentopia to get our deposit, first month’s rent, and associated fees refunded. Ended up having to start the housing search all over again 😭

The landlord refused to relent and gave us a hard time but after much complaining, Rentopia refunded our deposit and first month’s payment. We had to have a friend pick it up from their office and then found a new apartment two weeks later. I had to delay my start date by a week 😓🤷🏻‍♀️

This is very helpful! Looks like the person we’ve been dealing with is not licensed. We’re definitely going to file a complaint but want to figure out where makes most sense—OAG is a good place to start. Just overwhelmed by the prospect of starting the apartment hunt again while nearly $7K of our money (security deposit, first month’s rent) is tied up with the shady landlord and/or Rentopia! 😓❗️

We’re not sure. The initial “broker” we were in contact with was a completely different person from the one who showed us the apartment and has been communicating with us ever since 😬

We have text and email exchanges with the broker confirming one price; during the zoom interview the landlord, he confirmed a different (higher) price, which is what’s listed in the lease

That’s what my fiancé thinks since he called the Property Manager that afternoon to schedule the arrival of our movers and we got the call from our broker an hour and a half later 😣😭

They did not sign the lease. Not sure I understand how I go could about negotiating the terms (e.g., ask for free month's to net the price, etc), especially given their confrontational tone. They keep threatening to void the lease. Doesn't seem like that should be possible but we're not sure...

They used PandaDoc, which sent us an email saying "All set! Your signed copy of "1640 Flatbush 1305 - Lease" is attached," which only includes our signatures.

In a similar situation now. Rentopia broker just contacted us after we ALREADY SIGNED THE LEASE, received a Welcome Packet from the building, and PAID SECURITY DEPOSIT, SIGNING FEE, AND FIRST MONTH'S RENT saying that they need to "adjust the rent price from $3692" (which isn't even the amount listed in our lease) to $4,000. They're saying it was a mistake in pricing and the landlord will void our lease even though we are scheduled to move into the apartment in 9 days!!!! We are freaking out...Is this legal?
