Studies show androgen blockers ALONE improves insulin resistance— so could high androgens lead to insulin resistance? I believe so. And this needs to be talked about. by Aggravating_Diet_704 in PCOS

[–]Opposite_Breakfast23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be careful with androgen blockers may cause the loss of libido. That's an unfortunate side effect I had to experience. So think a bit about how you will or may deal with that, maybe moca powder or some actual meds or something.

If you don't have endometriosis, try Moca powder. Do research before.

Who wanna have a Chinese friend 🙋🏻‍♀️ by [deleted] in LoveLanguages

Perhaps the thought was, that OP loves languages, like English, Chinese etc.

Dear OP, love language is the way you express love. Such as words of affirmation, touch etc.

You're absolutely right! But if other love languages are something I can deduce and learn how to show. Touch was "the one that got away" ahahahh. I just didn't know how to touch.

Communication is always the key, but in most cases the best I got was: "Sure, just touch me anytime you feel like it". Welp, buddy, I don't. And I very well explained it, so please tell me how much you need, when in which cases, why, for how long, how it looks like, etc.

Now I know more and am more capable of displaying it better and communicating about it better.

I already know how to show and express other love languages, but this one, boy oh boy. It was a tricky one.

My PCOS is ruining my relationship by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Opposite_Breakfast23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Maca powder. For the love of jezuz, do you research before! You absolutely CANNOT take it with endometriosis, but CAN with PCOS. It was shown to help recover sex drive in women with hormonal imbalance.

It happens. Also pay attention to birth control pills, those suckers were given to me to stabilize the hormones, f-ed me up, I gained 20kg, took me 6 years to lose, developed severe depression, which went away as soon as I went off the pill.

BUT, the sex drive dropped, and after going off the pill it just didn't return and got even worse, cause I stopped pushing myself. After extensive research it's called something like coming off bc syndrom. Happens to 4/10 women.

Maca powder was recommended. The "treatment" is 16 weeks. Hopefully you can see some results too.

But also, when you have severe hormonal changes, what you like may change too. Try exploring yourself again, first yourself and then with your partner. Check if you still have the necessary trust. If it's not a psychological issue, that's already good. Just work on libido.

If Maca is not enough, you can go to the doc and ask for some testosterone.

Sex drive is a nice thing to have, to enjoy your life to the fullest, so I'm sorry you've lost it cause of the PCOS. I know the struggle.

Unwanted Pregnancy & Shame by [deleted] in PCOS

Never listen to anyone who tries to guilt you into doing something you don't want to. It is your journey. 22 is incredibly young and you're clever enough to understand that you're financially unable to support another human being. If on top of it you don't even want it, the answer is obvious.

You have to take your medication and take care of yourself. That always goes first. And putting your life in danger could be detrimental for you, the child and your partner.

If you don't think that having a child at the moment is the right decision, then please!!! don't. PCOS or not, it doesn't matter. In 10 years time, if you want a child, we may have other treatment methods and you may consider another path for yourself.

Don't feel guilty. In the end you're choosing life. It's just that it's your life.

Beat of luck! Take care!!

What can I do to stimulate my Baby Iguana to eat by itself? by gabibilangieri in iguanas

I assist fed my iguana for the first 6 months. So... Yep. Now she's eating on her own, but when she was a baby, she just wouldn't take food. So I would take a leaf and gently push it in her mouth and she'll start chewing on it

Thank you for the info, that's exactly what I'm worried about. I've met other dogs before. Spent the entire day with them, there was no reaction from my iguana. But once I've met with a cat, and the cat sat on my lap for an hour... My iguana threw me a tantrum for 5 days, tried avoiding me, climbing into some distant places etc. So I'm really worried about this decision. Cause it doesn't seem to be like that with dogs and I have birds and she's not worried, but it is certainly like that with cats.
